    I just downloaded a php script, one of the file in the script is encoded and I want to ensure it doesn't have anything malicious! Any help would be much appreciated!

    The reason why I want to decode is to check what's being run and then edit if necessary.

    If you can't trust the author why not find an alternative script or just write it yourself?

    That's garbage. To obfuscate your code you should use http://www.ioncube.com and http://www.phplicengine.com if you want to license it online with ionCube or remotely.
