I created a free service to track your ip address. I'm also looking for feedback if you think this is useful and easy to understand. Most home internet connections do not have a static ip. If you like to remote access your computer, it can be a problem if your ISP routinely changes your ip address. www.followmyip.com solves this problem without installing any software on your computer. Love to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
Design-wise, it's bare bones and to a certain extent I don't mind that but a basic css file to give sans serif fonts would be a tidier. I'm not sure how much demand there is for this kind of service now that we store info in the cloud - I suspect you're 10 years late.
Not me, I can't live without my pc. I simply use my laptop or other devices as dumb terminals. I hate paying for cloud services. Thanks all for the review.
While it's kinda smart, it's also not really needed. Teamviewer, remote desktop, dyndns, and a hundred other services alleviate this problem. I don't really see a need for it?
I understand the app, but can't really see what to use it for. Also, the major fault for me is that you have to open your browser once a while, or keep it open - here I would much more understand a browser plugin. There is no design - you know that, so you can work on this. In order to solve the problem with having the browser open, you might consider let user setup your as a homepage and let the user set up where this page should redirect once the tracking is data is collected. So every time a user opens his browser, it will navigate to your tracking page and redirects him to their usual destination. But even with a nice design and this implemented, the primary concern would remain - why would someone wanted to use it?
Notice you can enter HTML, I see you stripped out JavaScript but still can execute HTML code input at code.
If you want to check your IP then go to google and type what is my IP. After that you got your result.
No thats not the purpose of this. What you propose is not possible if you are away from your home computer and your routers ip changes. This solves that. But i appreciate maybe im not explaining it well enough.
