I just read a report a few hours ago from one of the "Gurus" that YPN pays a lot better than AdSense per click, sometimes up to 4 times better! For all you people lucky enough to have a YPN account because you're from the US, would you agree that it pays better than AdSense per click?

It depends, bust mostly it is always paying better than adsense, and they still paid banned publisher, that's the reasons make ypn invite selling so high.

If just someone else than adsense would go a little more geo, aiming for other countries than english speaking ones, they would make alot of money.. Im sure of that!

For me at least Adsense pays only a fraction of what YPN does.

If you're in the US then YPN is the best for you.

Yahoo pays more for USA generally. But the problem has always been with what to do for the rest of the world. Otherwise your not getting all potential revenue.

The best thing to do with YPN is to detect the country of the user, show YPN to USA visits and either Google Adsense or alternative ads for the rest of the world.

But do they pay for any clicks outside the US?

Example: is 45% of the traffic was NON US.. would a person be loosing out completely on that 45% of traffic income? Or would Yahoo be paying for some of it? Even some of it would prob earn more then if you directed that 45% of traffic to adsense or something?

Yes they pay better, but there's a catch (there's always one!). AdSense has A LOT more ads to select from than YPN, so the ads that appear on your site with YPN are generally not as well targeted as AdSense ads. I've seen plenty of MySpace sites, for example, with YPN ads for mortgages and other completely unrelated sites.

How much is a YPN invite worth? I have a YPN account but they complained I had too many visitors from outside US so i went back to AdSense. Adsense is OK but like always, if you don't have visitors, no clicks = no money!

Yep - my YPN ads pay way more than my Adsense ads..

BUT, YPn has way less ads in their inventory, and the ad-targeting is retarded, so you'll get far LESS clicks.. It's still in beta, and they've got some work to do before it's a serious threat to the Big-G .. (but i still use both)

YPN does pay much better. However, with some other niches, Adsense would pay better. YPN has relevancy issues. So if you are within a niche where YPN has trouble serving up relevant ads then this is where adsense will serve you better.
