Directory owners, A question to you regarding pitch and sale...

Is this the type of ad campaigning that promotes the most successful ROI?

I'm am pretty damn certain that not only grabbed your attention, but gave you a chuckle too.

The whole thought came to mind while I was having my usual good chat with Irka (Patrick) of Irka Web Directory

What is your opinion, and/or success if you've tried this approach. I'm just curious.

There is such a really nice array of pitch lines that could be inserted at the bottom too; Did you ever make it to the bottom pitch line? hahaha

The question is, would you click? Please dont go all moral on me. We are discussing human nature, what pleases the eye and what causes that spontaneous clicking.

So here is my example for your site;

Like your Map100.com, if i was looking for a map and came across it, i will click. If i was looking for a directory i would not click. However, If i was looking for maps, and I came across a banner like the one above and with your .com on it, Me, well...

 

=P lol i wasnt going all moral on you, i just said it looks like it I didnt say its bad, i dont know if i would click my computer is in the living room id probably scroll down fast so ppl dont think im looking at bad stuff haha, but im sure everyone else would and youd have an effective marketing campaign going there.

Thanks for the positive feedback though. I'm starting to wonder about a lot of techniques I see and are being used these days. How effective they are and arent. There is so much to think about it's damn mind boggling at times.
