Is Barack Obama The Worst President in the History of the United States?

I don't support him either. I just know my history.

 

Every time I come across this question, this one 'quote' pops up in my head. "You either die a hero, or live long enough to see yourself become the villain!" No disrespect meant!

 

I need to update this and add more Obama failures:
- Turning the United States into a shooting gallery for people that want to take shots at police officers
- Turning a blind eye to Hillary Clinton using a private email server for national security purposes
- Ignoring Hillary deleting 33,000 emails

 

I have not previously seen this thread but just totally enjoyed reading it now. If you are an enemy of the U.S., Obama has been the greatest president, ever. In fact, he has been your strongest ally in perpetuating your plans. Just ask China, Russia, ISIS, Iran, etc. They are THRILLED with his efforts and plan to continue capitalizing on his obvious sympathies for them for as long as he is in office.

In his book, "Dreams of My Father," he wrote that when he joined a law firm after graduating from law school, he felt like he was "behind enemy lines" as he worked. I believe that he feels the same way as he sits in the Oval Office. He and his political thug cronies must be so amused that the low information voters and other anti-American type voters were able to keep him in office for eight years to maximize the damage that he could do to the country.

He has often been compared to Jimmy Carter for being at the bottom of the list of presidents, but I believe there is a big difference. Jimmy Carter was a patriot who was just incompetent and misguided. I am firmly convinced that everything that Obama has done to hurt America has been purposeful.

 

He actually has been one of the BEST

1. My buddies in upstate NY have no problem getting food stamps
2. I get free medical
3. He makes great speeches
4. He is thin and attractive
5. He was lawyer and we need more lawyers
6. He is now backing and keeping the clinton policies in office ! YAY
7. He will BACK Hillary's kids when they run in 2014

BTW, I haven't watching this guy in awhile. Doesn't it look like the Prez has had a nose job? It looks like his nose has been thinned.

 

Maybe Obama's nose is out of joint over all of the success Trump has had in pointing out the failures of the past eight years?

 

This is interesting - I heard this from someone today who is a lifelong Democrat, actually a very principled person who is not afraid to criticize his own party.

He said that that problem with the Democratic party nowadays is that there is too much conformity. While Republicans are not afraid to disagree with a Republican politician, nowadays a Democrat may NEVER disagree with a Democratic politician or they will be attacked, ridiculed, ostracized by their own party. Democrats are expected to all march, lock-stepped, with the exact same ideology. Disagreeing with Obama is treated with hatred and contempt. He is voting for Trump out of principle - Trump will enforce the law, while instituting the social policies Democrats PRETEND to want.

 

It goes much beyond enforcing party loyalty. Look at what the "progressives" do to conservative speakers on college campuses (which are supposed to be the very bastions of free speech and diversity of thought.) Or look at how various liberal politicians and bureaucrats have begun threatening legal action against "climate deniers" in their twisted way. Can you imagine someone saying that "the science is settled" on any topic? Science is only "settled" until the next discovery. But totalitarians and their socialist ilk cannot tolerate differing viewpoints or opinions.

If your only source of information is the liberal, lamestream press and their mischaracterizations of Trump and the "quotes" they attribute to him (quite different from what he has actually said) then it is totally understandable that you would feel that way. They used the same type of lies, misquoting, demonization, etc., against Reagan who was going to start nuclear war, take away all of our rights, etc. He turned out, of course, to be the man who won the Cold War without firing a single shot, thereby hundreds of millions of Eastern Europeans from Soviet slavery and by cutting taxes created economic prosperity in the U.S. that lasted long beyond his term in office. Whether Trump can do half of that remains to be seen, but the liberal media playbook always used against conservatives is as false as ever.

 

Over the years I've come to realize that it is absolutely useless to try to change another person's political views. Neither side is going to cast aside their party affiliation, no matter how convincing the argument is presented by the other side. Experts in the field suggest that, although it's not always the case, our genes, along with our parents' (or whoever took care of us while we were kids) party affiliation will determine what political party / views we will gravitate towards as adults.

This comes from a guy who half of his life lived in the former Soviet Union. No matter how much they tried to brainwash me, my siblings and my parents back then, we never really, truly bought their idea of a socialist utopia. Neither did millions of other Russians. What is even more surprising, most Russian immigrants become staunch conservatives once they settle in the US.

 

It is not so surprising. They have seen, firsthand, the failures and totalitarian nature of socialists/communists.

Note that I was born into a Democratic family (my father, in fact, was a union guy.) I went to public school in the People's Republic of Massachusetts but liberalism never made sense to me, even at a young age. When the Vietnam War politics broke out, the gap between me and liberals only grew. I was worried about the veterans and the need to lessen the rules of engagement and actually try to win the war (sound familiar?) Made me one of the few conservatives in class. So, I am probably someone who is wired to be a conservative, despite the environment I was raised in.

 

Correct on all counts. Obama is the one running around telling the lie that cops are racists killing innocent black men. Not true. That is what is motivating the cop killers (cop killings are up sharply this year). Not only that, but his taking the side of criminals over the police is what is causing the murder rate in black neighborhoods to skyrocket. Crime was dropping for 20 years under Obama opened his idiot mouth, now it's going back up! A lot of innocent black people are going to be killed because of Obama's stupidity.

And in no other criminal investigation would the suspect (Hillary) be allowed to pick and choose what evidence to turn over. In a normal criminal investigation--and that is what this was--the FBI would get a warrant and would enter her home, offices, etc., and seize all electronic equipment including her personal phone and other electronic devices and search them for evidence.

Funny how that did not happen with this criminal investigation.

One of the things that the liberal lie machine has been able to do, historically, is take their weaknesses, mistakes, etc., and make it stick on their enemies. For example, very few people know that it was a Democratic Convention Delegate in the 1800's who formed the KKK. Nor do they know that it was a Democrat President, Woodrow Wilson, who revitalized the KKK in the 1920's when he screened a movie lauding them at the White House. Or that it was the Dixie Democrats in Congress who voted against and tried to kill the 1964 Civil Rights Act. Do you think "liberal Democrat" when you think KKK and being anti-Civil Rights? Of course not, because the liberals for decades have controlled the media and, therefore, the political narrative. It is only very recently that a conservative media has arisen and it still does not have the clout of the liberal lamestream press but it is becoming more and more powerful. That is the real hope for the country, in fact.
