    There are lots of sites where you can contract with writers to add your site link to their upcoming articles. Here are a few:

    EliteDaily
    Lifehack
    Huff post
    Entrepreneur
    buzzfeed

    These sites are very high DA, but at the same time they're multiple niche, so you don't have to worry about irrelevant links.

    Google only penalizes you for backlinks if let's say your site is about tables and your backlink is coming from a very unrelated emo punk rock high DA site.

    I don't even fool with all the metrics. It makes my head spin! I just use the eyeball, meaning that if the site looks quality and relevant to my niche then I'm going for the link dofollow or nofollow baby! I actually have always thought this way, but the concept was reinforced to me after reading an article on Backlinko.

    Make good quality content.

    My advice when it comes to link building is "it should be natural". How to get natural links? If you site content is of high quality which users will love then you can expect some good links to it over time, or you can contact writers in your niche so that they're aware about your site.
