I used to search photos from these CC0 photo library, such as pixabay, pexels, stocksnap, unsplash, picjumbo.com as listed.

Now I use this "CC0 Free Image Search Engine" : http://en.cc0.wfublog.com/

It could search all famous CC0 photo library websites as listed, which save me lots of time, just try it!

No, no and NO! Don't do this. Ever. It's insulting, it doesn't pay their bills, and it's rude.

I could put a 100 sources here for you to read to reconsider that point of view, but I will do with a couple:

I didn't realize photographers and digital artists had better standards than writers :D.

I mean, it's practice that some writers write for free for exposure so they can apply to bigger pubs. I almost did this when I started out, but was lucky to find paying gigs.

But now I'm sort of doing this for lifehack and elitedaily, (although i'm only doing it for backlink jobs :p so i'm not doing it for free).

I guess what's not insulting for writers is insulting for photographers :p

It's still insulting. I don't understand why you think the pieces in my last post can't also pertain to writers? Writing is also a creative skill, and should be held to the same standards. Granted, it's often harder to evaluate the quality of a written piece, than visual art, and there is quite a bit of completely unskilled writers out there - maybe even more so than useless graphics artists.

Personally, I think noone should work for free. I've even started billing friends and family, with no substantial discounts, simply because it's my time they're wasting, and my time is valuable. Nobody should work for free. What you do for yourself, as a hobby, or just to be nice, is something else entirely - those two shouldn't be mixed, though.

Thanks for all the great resources. I'll give them a try.

I've been using Pixabay for quite a while and it's my favorite too. They have great photos, especially when it comes to scenery and such.

However, when I need something specific, especially something business related, I currently use BigStockPhoto.com

All their smallest size photos cost just 1 credit, and their size is quite generous, much bigger than those of Fotolia, for example, and suitable for most web image purposes. Plus they give you access to everything you've bought for a long time (don't know if there's a limit, but it's at least a year). On Fotolia, you lose access after a relatively short time and have to repurchase the photo if you need their "social media" version, for example, or if you lost it.

In comparison, if I attempt to repurchase (by oversight) a photo on BigStockPhoto, they remind me that I have already purchased that photo and direct me straight to the download link! Nice!
