48 hours or report to Google

Hi,

I received an email from Romania webmaster about link removal.

Hello, dear webmasters of [ ] ! During backlink research we found a link from your website: [link here] These link were submitted to your site by our competitors without our authorization or approval in order to harm our backlink profile. We are using only white SEO strategies, and therefore we are kindly asking you to remove this link as soon as possible. If you do not take any action within 48 hours, we will be forced to report your website to Google for linking to [website link] without our permission. Thank you for your time and have a nice day! Regards, [name] webmaster.

From what I know I do not have to have the permission to link any website.

What do you think?

 

Tell them to f off. A report to Google will do nothing; they bluffing.

They probably lieing about a competitor submitting them.

If they ask nicely and humbly about link removal with that BS, I tend to oblige.

If they are an a-hole about it; they can paypal me $50 to cover my time and effort and I will remove it.

u should threaten to submit their client's site's URLs to spammy sites to ruin their SEO if they report to google

Sheehs.. I guess I'm not charging enough. We've always charged $15 for this service. I've had very few people complain about it. The ones that do threaten with "disavow".

I'm not the one that listed the site in a directory. It is not my fault Google is penalizing you. If you are being penalized, I can assure you it's not because of one directory in the midwest. It's a culmination of bad things. Removing a directory link is not going to fix the the problem.

People hire bad SEO's and then run around threatening people that had nothing to do with their decisions.

 

Since I made post, we have changed charge to $39.95 and guess what...
we have at least 1 jackass per week willing to pay it.

Please don't tell them that, eh
