cPanel all day long. Better software support and better community.

cpanel is very effective and user friendly so it is better if you go with the cpanel.

cPanel is one of the Best Control panel. Both has its own features Plesk supports both Linux and windows. It comes with new editions at very low price. After cPanel , Plesk is most popular.

    None! all panels suck.

They are not neccesary, they create holes and they consume resources, so I suggest you to ditch them all and configure the system yourself. It will save you work.

If you have the tech know how then I would say yes to ditching a control panel. Although It's nice to have some form of a GUI. cPanel is the best hands down. A hard number two would be virtual/webmin which are free and have awesome custom themes.

I'm with @HostWinds_Jesse in that if you have the technical abilities then just forget about using a control panel. If not then cPanel is the easiest and best IMO out of the ones I have tried on the different platforms.

There is also lots of information around the web about cPanel, so if you are going to use one, that's a big plus.

I USED to be huge PLESK LUVER - Then I discovered that so much ram LEAKS sometimes in the management side of things on PLESK.

So, I kinda really like Cpanel now.

DISCALIMER = I did use PLESK for 11 years before switching - and kinda still like it

I just recently was using virtualmin on one of my VPS and switched to cPanel/whm because of how difficult it is for me to change. lol I've always used cPanel so paying 12$ extra a month doesn't bother me.

cPanel does a great job at working out all the potential errors you might encounter while using a control panel, and then explaining them very well. I'm working on a marketplace website that I hope to have open by the end of next month. But I tried using Sentora for the control panel, and no, that failed so bad. I just paid the fee and with 30 mins everything was working smoothly.
