I don't like the new logos at all. We spend hours "blending"
The big G nullifies all of it. It screams AD

 

Can anyone confirm that adding any kind of border color (different from background color) prevents it?

 

Nope! It's not fake. I have seen it to, and just like the other ones, when I refreshed it went away. I sure as h**l don't like it! I know they have premier publishers and they don't get it. They don't even have the "Ads by Google" on their site and they blend in the ads so you don't even know it's an ad. guess who makes a lot of money with AdSense?!?

Its not worse as its only showing 10 percent or maybe 5 percent so only google knows if its good for publishers or bad

 

That's how it works initially - when the changes appear first people will look "hey what's this?" - after few months you will see dramatic drops because peoples brains have adapted that all blocks of text with small google logo are ads.

 

If you honestly can't tell the difference between even a well-blended ad and content, then it's hard to have sympathy for you. The blending isn't what's ever completely enticing people to click... it's the copy of the ad itself and whether or not it appears as though it's going to satisfy the needs of the visitor.

I can understand how advertisers might like this. But it's a two-way street. Publishers are providing the service / space that advertisers actually want. It's bad enough that Google doesn't so much as let them change a simple font to keep a uniform and reasonably professional look, w/o having to design a site around the stupid ads. But if Google, on top of placing links to the paying advertisers, thinks they're going to get away with taking more of their own advertising space on people's sites with larger images, and being more intrusive on the design, then they'll simply lose people to YPN. I'd say it's a pretty stupid move to alienate Adsense publishers right now, especially with enough buzz about YPN. I've been meaning to switch to them on a few sites anyway... this is just more motivation.

A couple of blogs have reported that Google mailed them back saying that these are only a test, and you can opt out.

I have seen them on my blogs as well. I don't like these new ads by google logo. It looks very ugly.

 

it doesnt look good in other colors but in white its looks good
