Are you kidding me? There is so much more to it than that. Having never made a promo video I'll probably be short a few steps but here goes Brainstorm your product or service Arrange ideas into an order so that you can produce a series of videos that tell a different story Work on the script Decide how the shoot will happen, where, what manpower, hardware and software is needed Write up your budget and get funding agreed to Produce the video Do post-production editing Publish the video Promote the video Start on the next idea from your list For some companies #4 will be simple, just buy camtasia or snagit and DIY but others will need a more sophisticated video that takes more specialist skills. @Azam Fals - Care to share one of your videos?

video marketing isn't what it used to be, in today's age you gotta have something creative or you're just a waste of space
Will you be posting the video on YouTube? If so, you have to figure out which keywords you would like to rank for. If the competition is too high, nobody will see your video because it will be too far behind in the search results. If there aren't enough searches, you won't get enough traffic to make it worth your while. Unless, of course, your video is intended to go viral. And how do you get people to go from your video to your website? Simply posting a link in the description area isn't good enough.
I'm not trying to be an a** or put you down or anything, but as someone who has done at least a dozen videos for different clients in the past 4 years, here is what I think. I guess you have not done videos for marketing purposes though, there is much much more to the entire process, even your first two steps "Idea for and making a video" might take weeks to do and complete if you want something that works. Do not be fooled by many viral videos that seem innocent and completely random, if there is slightest sign of a brand or marketing of a service in it, that video has been in production for months. There are formulas you follow and then there is timing and luck as well. Also when you say use a video marketing software, what does that software do? software is nothing without you and your input, it does not magically put you on a map of search results, it only enables and helps you to market the video. But this is a good topic and definitely worth looking into more because of the new changes coming to Google algorithm soon which will affect Youtube as well.
Spot on @Mehdi.b - I've been looking at gps trackers for pets such as fitbark and they have promo videos that are incredibly professional. The problem for the little guys is that they raise the bar so high and our WAH video efforts look ridiculous by comparison.
Quality comes with skill and talent... I've seen very impressive footage made with consumer based products (lighting, camera, software) and I've seen very amateur footage produced with professional products... Unless you are filming Lamborghinis in exotic locations with sexy models and stuntmen performing heroic stunts you can build a great quality professional looking video on a lower budget. But it takes knowledge to learn how to light, shoot, edit etc.
TV commercials is video advertising and since it's nothing but a major headache I question how any video advertising is effective anymore. When I watch the Super Bowl and see another Budweiser commercial it doesn't make me want to go and buy their beer. Youtube: I skip 10 out of 10 of their ads there. Going viral is a good thought but it ain't gonna happen to 99.9% of the people. So... I'll forgo video advertising and choose something else.
I agree... television commercials that reach millions of people are not nearly as effective as the 2 people you will reach with a qwikad.com post.
In my opinion the marketing through video concept is attractive as compare with all other campaigns. Concise, brief, relevant and to the point concept always attracts the community. Lots of Video websites and blogs creates rare chance to meet the objectives.
