What is considered a "good" Alexa rank?

Would love to know your logic behind that. Besides the post count padding, of course.

Heh, or as simple as putting your site as the home page for your browser.

 

I don't sure with this cheat can increase Alexa rank significantly.

Of all the sites I own, I have one site sitting in the 30k's and another in the 9k's. Of the highest we host, I think we have some in the 3k - 5k range for sure.

Once you're into the 100k area you start having to really huff it to get higher up.

 

Below 50k would be good, but its not very accurate.

 

more smaller you got value, more better your alexa..

Just try get yours as low as possible. A certain rank to one can be considered "good" in comparison with another site, yet bad in comparison to others.

 

yahoo rank is about the most reliable

 

Rank reflects the traffic you get. So its better always to be within the 1lac

 

Are you kidding me, Under 50k but traffic is less than 50?

Based on what I know is the ranking depends on the number of visits the website has and also how many website it is linked with.

i have a website www.shopforpcgames.com and i am at 11,61,435 and i am getting about 130 visitors daily according to google analytics and about 70-80 according to extreme tracking. So i think that alexa is not a good way to consider your website ranking

 

Obviously The smaller the rank the better your ranking or website authority. The best tool for traffic analysis of any website.

 

WTF has the alexa rank got to do with "rankings" and "website authority"?

 

Alexa means nothing unless your website is among let's say the top 1000. What kind of people have Alexa toolbar installed? Geeks, webmasters, SEOs, and that's it. Local webmaster forum has about 200 UV per day and Alexa rating of that forum is 5000. One of my sites had 800 UV per day and barely got under 1.000.000 Alexa. So, now what?

 

The higher the rank, the better! Content gain ranks, and ranks gain traffic.

 

Nope. Do you even know what the Alexa rank is? The lower the Alexa rank, the better (even though it is a irrelevant metric)
