Why digg is spam and overrated?

    - No matter how interesting your subject, you are not been dugg.
    - The 60% of top dugg stories are not even readable
    - All you need is digg top user and he will spam your story for you for a big figure bucks

If you want to add your reasons, go ahead and make a nice list :)

If you want on the frontpage of digg you could just use usersubmitter.com ! But I don't think it's worth it.. Digg users just burn your bandwidth and never clicks any ads :b at least not adsense..

In general I agree, but I was selling a product not long ago that was identical to one that was featured on a Diggnation episode and my site was subsequently 'dugg'. Had a huge increase in sales and clicks on my adsense ads for almost a month and half.

If you submit your news to digg.com and hoping for clicks, you might as well forget it.

It is for the BACKLINKS and PUBLICITY my friends :)

Digg is great for attracting some new users if you can manage to make it to the front page. On the other hand, Digg users, as someone mentioned earlier, do not click on ads.

Where you get this data? I never find any non-readable stories from digg's homepage.

If you want your article to make the front page of digg you need to have a good tagline and description.

But its true, digg users will not click your adds.

60% is my opinion, of course they are readable as per syntax and grammar and even a story. In my opinion, 60% of digg articles are being written for marketing websites(like us :) ) and they are not worthy to be read, for me.

What's not fair is, no matter how interesting your title and subject is, you are not getting dugg if your article will not have a push from a top user. I even tried most dugg keywords including an interesting article about Paris Hilton, even it got dugg only 2 times.

If you have been dugg and were lucky to be on the first page. How did you do it? Did you get help from a top user?
