If you are not a technological minded nitpicker and just an ordinary search guy, then there is no real difference between Google and Bing. Bing is just as good as Google, but Google has historically become established, just like Hoover has become established for cleaners regardless of make. The Google search page is about as attractive as a white soiled bed sheet, whereas Bing has a beautiful and interesting background image, which is renewed every single day and the search results are just as good and better presented.
I am not a fan of Google or Bing. Since Google is very familiar I have used it for the most part. At work, I use Bing. I do not like the transition, but sometimes it's nice to see the different search results on both search engines. I like the presentation of bing! The customer service is better and I can stay within the line without getting a slap on the face for any unknown mistakes unlike with Google.
Well me I would prefer google but I would also let like to try and use bing because have never used it before.

What's your marketing plan/budget? This is a general question, it depends on dozens of factors weather to use Google or Bing.
Google has about 67% marketshare compared to Bing which only has about 13%. In my opinion, Google is more user friendly, offers better search tools and is more helpful in searching for topics.
I switched from Google to Duckduckgo, but for security reasons. I don't like Google knowing everything about me, same goes for Bing.
Google or Bing, they are all the same. If I have to give opinion, I have no other choice than just use bing, since google and all its services are banned in my country, China. But then sometimes, I think, it also taught me to NOT depend on something which is accessible so easily. Easy and free things always have something hidden to harm you in the long-run.
I use Google most of the time, but I like Bing because they have an amazing Image search functionality
The misconception about Bing is that it's cheaper than Google for some keywords. That is true but it tends to get less traffic too. Try compare the CPC between Bing and Google for a particular keyword like 'best credit cards', and if you can live with less traffic and less CPC, then go with Bing.
