xml site map makes our site more readable to the search engine at the time of crawling and indexing

 

Hi guys. I have a doubt hope you can help me with your knowledge. Why sitemap are in .XML format. Why google and other search engines only want sitemap in XML file.

 

Because XML is a very easily parsed language for computers, it's hierarchial which means it lends well to the concept of a sitemap, and it's relatively easy to both create and parse.

 

For reference, you also submit text files whee each line is an URL. See this article for more information about the different sitemap file types.

 

Is there any problem if I submit two sitemaps?

 

No their won't be. But remember there must be a parent sitemap with links to child sitemaps.

Great initiative thanks for this.

 

You should upload sitempa.xml file in your home directory and verify that with google once you uploaded that file in root. Because this xml file is Google verification purpose.

 

I would suggest you to please use - https://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ for sitemap.xml creation. I hope this will work fine with you and will not get any error.

 

I have create the sitemap on my website but some time not showing in the GSC I am adding new pages to my website for more relevance
the site link is short term rental management

 

Have you tested and submitted it to the GSC?
