33% CTR: the best deal or a threat?

    Hi

One of my sites (original content, updated) is getting (today) 53 impressions and 19 clicks, making it a 33% CTR.

Some days it gets 50 impressions and 25-30 clicks.
All the clicks came from diferent ip´s, so i´ve checked at webalizer, referrals etc
The keywords are very strong in Google, page #1 (2x) page #2 (1x) etc etc

Is this the best deal of my life or a treath, because of the high CTR?

    thanks

As long as the clicks are valid you have nothing to worry about.

I've had 33% without problems before. The only problem is where to put all the money. :D

As long as the clicks are legit they won't do anything to your account. They have advanced methods of double-checking against their algorithms for fraud clicks. If you aren't doing anything fishy or "black hat" then you should be fine.

The reason you have a very high CTR is that your impressions are so low. For large publishers with tens of thousands of impressions daily, the number will be much smaller. At the same time for people like it wouldn't be a surprise to see a 0% CTR either which will be a big shock for an established publisher. So just relax if there is nothing else fishy. I see numbers like this in my channel data.

    depends on what you want.

If you want to have an website only to redirect visitors to google advertisers, and make some cash, you can make a MFA website, choose some good paying keywords, and show only ads, and in the bottom 2-3 irrelevant phrases.

A big thank you for all. :)

For the curious people, this website gets less than 300 impressions daily, but it´s (slowly) being searched for, especially in Google, and the clicks are something like this:
30 clicks = 30 diferent referals from google and other two search engines.

Oh and by the way the average click gets 0,12 to 0, 20$.

Not bad at all, mister. :)

    thank you all again.

    My friend,

find a small niche with 300 impressions a day (that´s not very hard to find, even in North Pole) and target your site for that niche.

If u have less than 1.000.000 of competition in that niche it would be not dificult to win.

if the niche is "numura" buy the domain "numura.com" or "bestnumura.com".
If all are taken, go ahead and find another niche.

if u need more info check all this forum, but begin with the basic.

I did. :) and some 7 to 10$ a day (for a starter, 3 weeks with adsense) is quite good, i think.

We have a lot of these threads lately.
High CTR itself is not something that you should be worried about.

to get higher CTR I believe it also depends on the traffic quality. I would gather search engine traffic is the best type of traffic to get.

What's a good keyword checker to see how many times a certain keyword has been searched for by Google/yahoo/MSN? I used to use Good Keywords 2.0 but I have a feeling it's very innacurate.

Easily the best is Overtures keyword selection tool

Thats not the be all end all though my friend, don't always go for top keyword/phrase, I would try for something middle of the road. You need to strike a balance between highly searched, & an underdeveloped site/base, better known as a niche

Here's some more Gold for ya

    Good luck
