I don't know if I have come to the right place but, can anyone tell me do you need a 'Facebook account' to use the Messenger app? the reason I'm asking is I sent two messages via the app to the same recipient a few hours apart but, the recipient only received my first message. If this isn't the right place to ask this question, can someone please tell me where I can get help from. Thanks
If you are talking about Facebook messenger app, then yes you should have an account on FB. Without creating account on any messenger you cannot send or receive messages. Its easy and quicker by the time you search for the help center, you would have already created your account
Hello, it is very strangely! I use FB Messenger App without any problems! Maybe it was something error!?
Thank you for your help, that's what I thought & that would explain why the recipient didn't receive one of my messages
If you’re in the United States, Canada, Peru, or Venezuela, all you need now is a phone number to use Messenger. Download the Facebook Messenger app, select the “Not on Facebook?” option, and enter your phone number and name. That’s it. You can upload and send photos, videos, start group chats, and use voice and video calling without ever having to sign up for a Facebook account. Of course, having a Facebook account still has some benefits, like being able to message Facebook friends, view past Facebook messages, and have access to mutli-device messaging.
In theory, you can easily see the status is "seen" under your state if the receiver has read your message.
That's what I thought too but the messages that have 'seen' underneath them, the recipient hasn't received them
Have you tried to send a message and the receiver is beside you so that you could check in a real time?
