I do not understand their social scheme... I follow some people... some people follow me... So what..? I get daily followers.. However, I do not understand the end goal....
It depends on why do you follow people! Pinning interesting posts is the ultimate aim of it. However, if you want to know its purpose, here you go http://readwrite.com/2012/04/27/what-is-the-point-of-pinterest
Why did you join pinterest in the first place? It is not about their social scheme, it is about your intentions..
share posts.. engage.. enjoy.. thats all there is to it.. thats all the social portals are there for. @danasurvey Thanks
Some businesses have it for social marketing. Some even use it to sell their products by posting pics and linking them to their websites.
I use Pinterest to drive traffic to my blog! I write a article, add a picture, then "pin" it onto one of my boards! Hopefully that "pin" gets "repinned onto someone else board etc.
I've used it to create boards for kitchen ideas to torment my husband with, ball dresses to suggest to my daughter, craft stall ideas for the kids. You can search on things and get a pretty good idea of current trends. If I was selling physical goods then it's a way to showcase your products. I'm not sure if there is much value for services. I'm happy to pin something that references a site if that site has unique and compelling info.
For me my opinion, it might be impact the economic but not as severe. As we all know Pinterest is the Napster of graphic content. It is 99% photos from other websites. Not for commentary, not for parody, not even for transformative use.
I have one site that gets 80% of its social traffic from Pinterest and another that gets only 1 or 2 viewers a day from it. All depends on the content you're sharing and your site's main topic. If you are writing about ANYTHING that's even remotely visual (recipes, instructional, inspiration, Amazon niche sites etc.) then it's worth it to be sharing on Pinterest. For my heavy Pinterest site, I typically spend an extra 5 minutes making a Pinterest-only image that's sole job is grabbing people's attention and funneling them to my site.
The goal is to reach potential people and spread your business using Pinterest. Point 1. Increase followers, the more followers you have the more opportunities to get engagement and the more engagement the more converts. Point 2. Around 80% pinterest users are female! So use attractive image to attract them. Point 3. If your business is something that can use female then it's well worth to invest your time and money in Pinterest otherwise not!
Paid advertising. Someone searches wedding decoration Picture shows a beautiful lamp hanging from the ceiling Its a paid ad - hopefully they click it any purchase said lamp. or its literally the same but organic.

Hello) I can say that this network is like Instagram! The sameness of this is very easy! If you are a cool and a very popular person, you have a VERY interesting life, and all of this world for your cool, interesting, nice, and fashion photos, that is all!) As for me, I like to see some photos, a lot of them very stupid!!!!
Pinterest is a photo sharing website that is the famous website of social networking,if do you want to get daily followers on your Pinterest Account, i am suggesting you the best tip . firstly you will make your account as female name like ellie, katy etc.and also increase the number of people following on this website . after this you share the post continuously and after some time you will get result . for example i have a free classified ads website and i want to increase the number of followers .in this case i can not take any girl name. and should share the attactive post on pinterest
I'm not sure any of that makes sense - except for the bit where you tell us that you're really male despite profile info that states otherwise.
Ok ... I am new to this forum, but let me try to explain what Pinterest is. Let's say you want to renovate your home. Most of us look for inspiration on the internet and instead of bookmarking all those things, you pin it to your board on Pinterest. Now, since this is a social network, you might ask your followers what they think about certain designs. If you are indecisive, you might listen to the crowd. There are so many personal applications to Pinterest, which makes it a powerful platform. From a business point of view, you can create boards for your products and show various applications and combinations. Fashion brands might show certain combinations of clothes that might fit a certain pair of trousers. A grocery chain can create boards for recipes. The question about the main goal is not clear to me since social networks don't have a goal, it is about interaction and engagement. By the end of the day, it is about creating boards for yourself if you are a normal user. And if you are a business, it is about showing your customers a variety of your products applications.
