I have been doing SEO for one year now, and still I don't get a lot of visitors. After one year I only get about 60 visits a month. is this normal? How much traffic did you get after one year of SEO?
Depending on the niche but you should get more than 100 traffic per day if you're doing SEO for a year. What are the position of your keywords in the SERP?
currently I am ranking for more than 200 keywords. 10 of them are on the first page with a volume ranging from 1000 to 3000 searches a month combined.
Are you addressing the correct geolocation? Are you using a CNOBI/gTLD domain or is it a country domain? If it is a CNOBI/gTLD, have you set the correct country it shall be associated with in Google Webmaster Tools?
For some specific niches this is normal.... For example if it's a seasonal products that people search for only during the winter... Or an information they can find in Wikipedia, they will not look for the result #9 for example! We can't tell you anything without at least tell us the niche or the keywords you want to rank for. It could be everything (Also, I hope you are using Analytics for tracking your visitors, not just a website counter or something like this!)
I am using Google Analytics. The website is for meme pictures. And I am targeting keywords like funny meme.
Try searching for your keywords in 'incognito' mode from your browser. Alternatively, use Advanced Web Rankings - they give you a free trial which would be enough for you to know if you are really ranking or not. I doubt if your website is ranking well in search engines. If if it is ranking then maybe your Analytics tracking code is not setup right. Consider doing these two things so you know the exact picture.
60 visits / month after 1 year of seo is really bad. How much monthly you have spent of its seo? Share your URL and list of activities you have done. You must be doing it wrong somewhere.
It's better to use Topvisor Rank Tracker and it would be enough for you to know if you are really ranking or not.
How many backlinks you have right now. If you are only focusing on backlinks then you should try Social media Factor it's Good traffic source instant traffic.
It is somewhat not normal. However, there is many term for 'Doing SEO'. In my opinion, Doing SEO is not only doing these things: Writing good and informative article. Add Tittle Add description Add Navigation (Crumb or meta) Have nice structure for each information on the site. add pictures Add videos Add other descriptive information such as rating system, quote, literature, etc and few other improvements But also doing these things as well: Improve loading speed. Either by Combine, Minify, Inline and Eliminate render-blocking JS / CSS. Compressing the output will make the site load even faster. Use light-weight theme/template/plugins and modify the codes to make it even better. If it is possible, replace some or all PHP (or other programming languages) codes which consume much resources. Add header information for each http request. It is the first step to secure the site. And other improvements and tweaks To sum it up: Have great content on the site Make it load faster than other I believe each person have different experience as it depend on many factors such as niche, demography, hosting, template, CMS being used, etc. I have some websites and few of them are targeting low-traffic keywords. in average, it takes about a month or two to get 100-300 daily visitors. In third month, the site should compete with others by targeting medium/high traffic related keyword. If you were using Search Console (formerly Google WebMaster Tools/GWT), navigate to 'Search Analytics' and look at average CTR (or every CTR of the keywords). I always focus at keywords with high impression. Try to get high CTR for any keywords with high impression. After a year or two, it should have 10-170K monthly visitors (depend on the niches).
Think you have some problem. Check for a broken links. If after year seo you have 100 visits per day.Just start from zero.Maybe you are banned or with bad reputation? .Maybe you are a copy paste guy? Reasons can be 100000
I think you need to advertise your blog more in related niche forums, blogs, creating videos and social media.
