Just Received An SEO Threat...

someone recently visited one of my sites, and sent an email that looked
farely bogus, and it went something like this...

No where on my site does it state that I am an seo expert, nor does
the site have anything to do with SEO. What I find odd is that this
person has zero self esteem, and feels so threatened by my brand new
site, and in order to make himself feel better about himself...

If this is a competitor, then I feel that he may be around the same level as me.
I could not see anyone wasting their time on such a new site, and I feel
this person, competitor, or not has zero self worth that he has to make threats....

however, if that is what he wants to do, then so be it...
it is not like you can stop anyone blasting your site with GSA....

mods: feel free to move to appropriate thread...

People frankly suck. I just helped a fellow with a DCMA gripe from youtube, that was so obviously fake and some competitor of his from Pakistan, it was painful to deal with. Add his email addy to your post.

Oh, and fuck that dude. If I had to hazard a guess you can probably copy and paste that email into webmaster tools straight to Google. There are in fact ways to screw with people but he is not accurate in that regard in the first place.

Edit. in fact...paste the email, header included.

    dam that sucks....
Did you try Google his email see if the same person has done it to other people?
Just keep an eye on your backlinks this month and see if you notice anything.
If you do contact Google's web team?

This happened a few days ago, and for some reason, I can not
find the email, and I do not remember deleting it, however that is
very well possible, sometimes I do wrap up more emails then should
along with the multitudes of daily spam I get, so it is possible that
i flagged it as spam, and once it hits the trash, then it is gone....
as my trash folder recycles pretty quickly, in either case, cant find it.

I would like to know more, why do you say that? Why would google think otherwise?
google maybe thinking that I am indeed involved in link spam, please clarify...

I did run an seo check, I am not sure how accurate these freebie sites are,
but between several sites, the onpage seo isnt looking good, and I am not
talking about simple titles, alt tags, outbound links, etc, appears to more errors
then just fixing the simple stuff.

I guess I should thank the evil monster, because I never thought about talking
to the coder about this when designing the site...and some of these errors are
code related, however, if these errors actually have any impact on seo, then I am
just not sure, maybe it does, maybe it does not apply. over all, I know some of the
posts are lacking on page seo as I have simply been working on content right now
as I am trying to get content up now, work on stuff later...

If the evil doer had taken a closer look, then he would have seen some of
the posts are even still in update status, and they are not close to being done...
others maybe missing alt tags, outbound links, image links, etc...

(for god sakes, its a new site...) If i was a total newbie, I guess I
would expect the cash to be flowing by now, right? either way,
I guess I should be rich at this stage of a new site...

So yes, evil GSA user, I am well aware that most pages
are not up to your on-page seo standards, not the end of the world...

Look bro. You are wrestling with a non thing here. There are no metrics to flesh out. Post the the email with the header and let the peanut gallery sort it out for you.

either way, i doubt any competitor would do such a thing...
they would not send a threat email, they would simply just do what they do....

If he takes action, I have no idea, and it probably would take time for
worthless links to show up, and I do not think I can do anything until google
hits the site with some type of penalty, then that could be addressed in re-consideration....
(assuming this just was not some type of blanket email spam...)
