    you can place ads anywhere you want, unless they are too close to text of article, or deceptive where people can click by accident

    That is not true - placing ads near an article, you can place it among it, in the middle of it!
    Your account will not be disabled while following Adsense simple rules!

    Left corner/column and skyscrapers are some of the best options in regard of results!

    it is bad idea for set ads in upon image you need to add long formate ads like 728:68.
