as i mentioned earlier, I have a script that can redirect short urls to their destination, the vistior that clicks
on this link can clearly see that when they click on that link then it will be an affiliate site, when I enable
link cloaking, then it takes away that ability for the vistor to know that they are on an affiliate site, the cloak
makes the visitor think they maybe on your own site, when in fact you maybe pointing them elsewhere...
a short url redirect hides nothing, and the visitor can see the end url when they arrive, and a cloak
url hides the end url, which means you can not see the affiliate url, and google, and many other popular
affiliate programs clearly state that link cloaking is a violation of their terms, so there is a difference:

a normal short url redirect, no problem, no issues, all good...
adding a mask on the url so the visitor can not see
where they end up is called link cloaking, and that is bad....

Ok, nowhere on my site does this happen - so why bring it up?

Because you mentioned it at least once in your content:

that is why i brought it up, I was simply informing you that this is against google TOS...
If you are are just using short url plugin for redirect, then you are not cloaking your
links, unless you selected a cloak option to do so, if this is the case, then you used
the wrong terminology in your content, those that rely on traffic will stay away from
link cloaking, as google clearly considers this blackhat seo method to trick visitors....

First of all, I am indeed link cloaking.

Second, link cloaking is NOT against Google's TOS.

When the visitor clicks on my affiliate link, it is 100% clear as to where they are. The link is not deceptive in any way.

Here is the Google definition of Link Cloaking, that you could have looked up hours ago, instead of wasting this much time.

what is link cloaking Google Search.png

So, what I am doing is taking the long, ugly affiliate URL and turning it into FancyPuffs.com/marshmallows/title.

Once the visitor clicks this, they are taken to the affiliate site with THEIR URL.

So, this is NOT against Google's TOS.
