The theme is 'Yacht Charter 4u' and I am not 100% on the EXACT direction I will be taking this site, but hopefully onwards and upwards. When designing a logo & slogan, please bear in mind that the site WILL be reaching a global market and it will be for anyone to write and share their experiences about yacht chartering, and to also share their passion for all things 'sailing and boating'. Also I want to encourage article writing on this aswell.. a kind of "All you ever wanted to know about yacht chartering but were to oafraid to ask" - hey that could be the slogan right there Anything and everything to do with yacht charter, personal yacht chartering experiences etc. Good luck.. Yeah, some ideas to extend upon that would be: I suppose the slogan "All you ever wanted to know about yacht chartering but were to afraid to ask" is a tad long-winded?? and I'd like to see YC4U on any designs involving sails
kawa_188 - possible to add in the text as I mentioned above and again, do you have any variations of that to show me - the pic is quite refreshingly tasty but the text, not sure if it's the font or the size OR both :s Would this be asking too much? of course and I apologise but I did actually reply to yours I do reember but for some reason for reasons unknown it's not showing so I'll write what I said before. I like the fancy 'scroll' style and choice of colours to your design xpressions. two things I don't like are the huge waves (I did comment previously on how this image of big waves might not put people's minds at ease) - remember that for some yacht chartering will be a new experience. the other issues are im not sure if that slogan's so good and I would like to see alternatives really - mine was just an idea.. anything involving the terms 'bearings' for example to reflect that in a navigational idea getting the right bearings is a good thing, I dunno... no expert me on any of this.. also the font's quite large compared to the main image, I'd like to see more of a proportionate scale is possible. Digging the top one more 'as a logo' then the bottom one albeit you spelt afraid as 'ofraid'.. but please read my previous post with regards to getting a slogan right.. I like how you used an image as a letter, that's nice but I would love to see some more useage of imagery to reflect that Yacht Chartering isn't just sailboats etc and also plz reflect that this is a global site/operation. Very nice indeed xpressions, very nice. You've totally turned your original design around taking into account what I commented on. If there aren't going to be any more entrants then we might have a winner evolving! I would like the slogan changed though.. my original ideas WAS just an idea, and as I said above (a couple of times) it would be good to see some new slogan's taking into account some more relevant 'nautical' terms i.e bearings, wind, sails, direction.. etc. Regards + and a HUGE thanks to everyone whose taken part, I'm really appreciative! Thank you for the feedback. I didn't ignore your commentary on the tagline, I was focusing on the logo itself because content/wording is not my forte. I will try to come up with something though. Will need to tap into other resources Regards,
