Hi Friends as part of my work flow, as am a freelancing web and graphic designer and developer, i have to send some invoices to my clients. For example, one of my clients need to pay me 400$ for an illustration work, what i would like to know is when am creating an invoice to clients do i need to add also the Paypal transaction charges ? or i just need to add the 400$ amount and invoice automatically generates the transaction charges ?? Please help me sort out this issue .

The invoice will be at the price you put on it. So if you put $400, you're going to pay for the extra charges from the $400 you receive.

Seller should absorb the transaction cost.

It would be great to charge clients for any costs incurred in the transaction but, regrettably, as vendors, you and I have to bear those costs, ourselves. It's not like shipping costs that you can tag on to your invoice.

As for my understanding, paypal will ask transaction charges for every cost done.

So, if you will be paid for 400 USD then, you will pay for transaction charges.

It would be great if the client will agree that they will pay for the transaction charges.
