NOTE: I was brokering this website on Flippa through a friend, but it's been suspended due to Flippa thinking we are the same person - when we in fact aren't.

I thought I would give Flippa another chance - however it's the same game over there.

    Anyway, onto the sale...
    --
Welcome to the sale of SaveWaterSlogans.com!

This website was launched back in August of 2015 and over the past few months, the traffic has increased exponentially.

The first 20 or so articles were manually created, in order to get the ball rolling. I have since turned the website into a water conservation aggregation service.

    What does this mean?

This means the website is 100% automatic! You don't lift a single finger and the traffic just keeps coming :)

We have around a dozen 'money keywords' we are currently ranking for. These rankings were acheived even though NO SEO was done on this site.

All I did was register the domain, add a theme, write a few articles and walked away.

Once the organic traffic started flowing, I added the aggregation service in order to give the visitors a never-ending flow of information.

This works GREAT for obtaining social traffic as well - I have set up the SNAP plugin to automatically post new articles on Facebook and Twitter - look at this automatic Twitter engagement (I haven't touched this Twitter account in a week)

I will teach you how to spend 10 minutes per day and obtain hundreds of targeted Twitter followers - it's so easy it should be illegal :D

Here is a look at the 'money keywords' currently bringing in traffic:

These keywords have been solid, there hasn't been much of any dancing around.

You can see that the traffic has been increasing at a pretty steady rate since launch:

Now, not only is this website already successful - there is SO MUCH room for growth, in the right hands.

Look at these MEGA keywords that are SO CLOSE to ranking:

With someone interested in targeting these keywords, you could grow the traffic and easily flip it in a few months.

    Why don't I do that?

My business strategy is finding the shortest possible route to a dollar.

I don't spend too much time on long term investments.

I build sites, get the profitable and sell them as quickly and effortlessly as possible.

Someone with more patience can make some serious dough here, especially if you're willing to overlook Flippa's arrogance.

    Let's talk revenue...

I monetized this website three different ways.

    1) Adsense

Unfortunately with the niche and traffic location - the CPC is just too low. I do keep the banners up - but it's really not worth it. I would skip that all together.

    2) Affiliate Products

I made $2.00 from a homepage banner ad - maybe I didn't choose the right product?

I always thought about offering a separate product in each article, unique to what the searchers intent was.

However, I just couldn't afford the time to investigate this.

Fastest way to a dollar, remember?

    3) Private Advertising

This was my bread and butter.

I sold private advertising placements on Fiverr, 7 days of advertising for $4.00 (Fiverr gets a buck per gig).

I always thought about adding gig extras, maybe Twitter shoutouts or extended time on the site. I never did this however.

I received 30+ orders without a single refund. I did have a few return buyers - but I don't have any click / conversion data.

My main selling point was that their ads don't get blocked by any ad blocker software - which means more impressions, clicks, etc.

I will teach you how to do this, if you would like.

Here is a screenshot from my gigs page - it has since been removed because of the sale of the website.

    What comes with this sale?

I am starting this website for $1.00, and no reserve.

it's set to end 7 days after the last bid.

This being said, it may take a while to sell.

If you're like me and don't have any patience - you can buy it now for $1,000.

If you're an established member on Digital Point with a decent reputation, the price is negotiable. Just send me a message and we can work something out.

I will also accept payments, but you MUST have a good reputation and you will ONLY receive wp-admin access until the payments are complete.

    Here are some other inclusions:

I own an awesome VPS server. I would be more than happy to host this site for a year, for free.

You will have your own updated Cpanel with all the bells and whistles.

I won't charge you anything, as long as you don't get too crazy on the space used.

We can come to an amicable agreement depending on how large the site gets.

    • Top-Notch Post Sale Support
I offer amazing post sale support - I will help you with anything, forever.

It doesn't matter if I sold you the website or not, I will be more than happy to guide you or just be there to bounce ideas off of.

    • Pick a theme - any theme!
I am currently using the Socially Viral theme from MyThemeShop.

You can see the details here:
    https://mythemeshop.com/themes/sociallyviral/

I have the rights to use any theme OR plugin from MyThemeShop, so if there is something you want from their website - let me know and I will install it for you.

There are some pretty cool plugins on MyThemeShop, check them out - you may find something you like!

    https://mythemeshop.com/wordpress-themes-plugins/

Do I really need to create a bullet point saying you get the website files and domain?

    Of COURSE you get them!

Full transfer anywhere you like, as long as it's Cpanel powered.

If it doesn't use Cpanel, I will hire a professional to do the migration for us.

    VERY IMPORTANT:

The only way you can be sure you are buying a high quality website is buy ASKING QUESTIONS!

There is no such thing as a dumb question, so PLEASE ask me anything and everything you can think of.

Like every digital property, it's an investment - you need to be smart about it.

    So, ask lots of questions!

(This goes for EVERY sales thread on Digital Point, not just this one)

I think that answer really lies in yourself.

I have gotten the traffic, now how can you properly monetize it?

This really depends on your work ethic.

    • You could sign up for several different affiliate products on Share A Sale and do A/B testing to determine which ones convert the best.
    • You could try a dozen different ad networks to see which has the highest payouts.
    • You could try Taboola or Outbrain
    • You could stop the aggregator and sell guest posts instead
    • You could use Amazon associates, something I can't do because of where I live

    Catch my drift?

I think your first order of business would be to invest in a good SEO and get the rest of the keywords ranked, this will raise your traffic by 200 - 400%

    Audience Overview Google Analytics.png

You can see which direction the traffic is going, the more keywords you rank - the more this is going to increase.

This is the epitome of a good website to flip.

However, how much ROI you receive is ultimately up to you. I will be glad to offer my advice as you go along, but the work is up to you :)

Would you rather I take one too small to read?

It's smaller than a standard web page - so I am not sure what the question is?

If I make the screenshot smaller - it distorts the text, which doesn't get my message across.

Now that you can clearly see the text, you can cross-reference the keywords with the actual Google SERPs.

This is what every Digital Properties seller should do in order to verify Organic traffic - the SERPs don't lie.

I just received received a great message via PM about this site. I want to respond in public, so everyone can share the knowledge.

@dscurlock is concerned that the keywords I am ranking for (now 85+) won't last forever. He believes that when Google "catches up" with the duplicate content on the website, they will drop all of my rankings and the gig will be up.

First, let me explain exactly what the content is that I am automatically posting. I have a plugin that scrapes Pinterest and embeds pins to my site that meet a certain criteria - this is pretty similar to embedding a YouTube video to my site. If you check, you will see that the image in each single post is actually directing straight to Pinterest.

Let me be very clear, you should NOT expect to do well in Google with this kind of content. Only about 2% of my rankings are coming from pages like this. The pages that Google is ranking are the ones that were hand-written and unique.

So, this begs the question - why would I turn a perfectly good, ranking website into an aggregator?

The answer is simple...for automation. I needed a way to keep the site active without needing to spend any time actually writing content. I knew this would never add to my organic traffic. However, it accomplishes several other things.

#1: Lower bounce rate and increased time on site

The more content you have, the longer people will stay on your site. This is a well-known fact that has been proven with countless case studies by not just me, but other content marketing experts.

The organic pages are the bait - the aggregator keeps them there.

    #2: More Twitter engagement

With content that never stops posting to Twitter, I receive a never-ending amount of engagement from users without touching anything.

Check out my 28 day history:

#3 More impressions on private advertising banners

Both of the above points were leading to this.

When dealing with private advertisers, there is only one thing they care about - eyeballs.

You can't have clicks or conversions without impressions. The more pages their banners are on - the more likely someone will click and convert.

When making a decision of which publisher to use for advertising, who wouldn't choose someone with an active site, lower bounce rate, high time on site AND 25,000 tweet impressions per month. For $5.00 - this can't be beat.

    So, let me summarize.

The content that is pulling in organic traffic is NOT from the aggregator. That is the hand-written, manually published content that I seeded the website with.

If you don't like the aggregation service - and would rather focus on increasing organic traffic - we can simply delete the automatically posted content and send a request via Google Search Console to delete the indexed pages in their SERP.

This is very simple, and I will do it for the buyer - should they choose that route.

This will have ZERO affect on the organic rankings, I guarantee it.

If someone is extra cautious, we can do the payment via Escrow.com (I will split the fees) and only release the payment once the content is gone and the indexed pages are deleted.

Remember, I am also accepting payments on this website. I wouldn't dare do that if I thought the organic traffic would fall off.

Any questions about this, please ask! My mission is to make everyone smarter about Digital Properties Trading, it's my passion and I take it very seriously.

There is nothing wrong using aggregation to get a site going, however, never allow the automation to consume
you, and you should always continue to add unique content, then later on, keep any automated content that
does manage to rank, and weed out those that do not stick, some will, some will lose rankings later on, and
some may not even index altogether; you never know what google will keep or ignore, and for those posts that
unexpectedly stick, do not delete the post, simply replace the post with unique content for even better results.

I certainly do not think it is a bad idea, simply because, you know early on what keywords are ranking....
now would be the time to grab those "money" keywords, and use them in your unique content, and as your
unique content base grows, then start slowly decreasing your automation so the site looks more natural....

    very good explanation...

Just a hint, I like to download all of the keywords that have impressions from Google Search Console and then run them through Pro Rank Tracker.

Then, I can see the keywords that are almost on the first page with a decent amount of searches.

Usually with a little nudge of SEO, you can push that keyword(s) to page 1 and increase your traffic.

This way, you know exactly which keywords need the attention.

If you know the keywords that are ranking, then you can easily optimize your
content for those keywords, and traffic would continue to increase, and as you find
new keywords in the fold, then you repeat the process, and optimize them too..
of course if matt does nothing, then there is a good chance they will fall from ranking.

matt has a solid plan by setting up automation, as it makes the site look active,
however, you can not sit back and expect that it will make $1000/mo by itself, his
automation gives you time to work on your unique content, as this is what is going
to get you real rankings over time. I wanted to setup my site semi auto, but
i never could get it to work, even though matt shared his advice with me....
