I know tons of software researches competition backlinks, or just to find your own and keep an eye on your ongoing marketing strategy. But, is there a tool that will let you research backlinks where you might also build links with your competition? Like in forums, blog discussions, etc? Places you could be involved also and market yourself along side them.
One way to go about it is using Ahrefs to check competitors backlinks and using excel formulas to find out same websites they are linking from and potentially you could get a link from too as well. This can be too complicated. You can get linkresearchtools.com as they offer this service where you can put as many websites in the tool and it will give you a report on most common backlinks sites. You can use this data then to figure out which sites are useful for you.
I would suggest getting a good tool and running a diagnosis on your competitors domain and your domain separately then compare
Its a really good tool but its bit expensive. Their USP is dealing with toxic links as it can fasten the process of figuring out bad links for link detox purposes. It gives every backlink a level toxicity starting from not toxic at all to super toxic.
