Internal links matter: If your site has bad internal navigation this may affect your user experience (time on site/browsed pages) and results in lower rankings.

According to lot of studies, there is focus on words count in your posts as well. The number of words in a post also matters. You can read the same on Sumome.com by Nat as well as on Quicksprout by Neil. More in-depth article you write, more chances of you getting higher on Search Ranking.

What is the recommended content amount for SEO pages and how do you check if you have too little or too much content? Would appreciate any advise here? Thank Teresa

    Dear Teresa,

Thank you for your question about content amount for SEO pages.
The minimum amount of text – 1,000 characters without spaces. You should create at least 50 pages of content.
Here are other important content rules to follow:
    • Do not forget that content primarily designed for users
    • No spam with keywords
    • The main keywords must be at the beginning of the page (optimally, in rst 100 words, or 600 characters)
    • Unique both within the site and across the Internet
    • Readable and relevant
    • Structured with subtitles using H1-H6 headers
    • Contains natural keywords and is not supersaturated with them
    • Text should be visible both to users and search crawlers
    • No overload with tags for manipulation with SEs
    • Content is placed using HTML (not with images, Flash, iframe, or Ajax)
    • Chapters should consist of 4-5 sentences
    • "Bold / strong" 1–2 times for each 1000 characters to give some weight
    • Use LSI keywords Which tools you could use to check content: Keyword density Analyzer, Plagiarism Checker, Copyscape, Afterthedeadline.

Here is more detailed SEO Checklist for your website . If there any questions, please let me know.

Tip of the week: be careful with widget links.

Not a long time ago, on the Google webmasters blog was published a reminder about non-fair use of widget links

Quite reasonable remarks. Many thanks for your participation.

The most remarkable event of September I guess was the rolling out
    of Google Penguin Algo.

Dear SEO Experts and SEO Newbies,
We have done a bit of research and analysis and returned back to the topic at hand. So, let's focus on content and related stuff.

Yeah yeah yea…. an old well known content is a king or a queen or whatever)) One thing for sure, content is content.
Content is cash, You can't have a site without content. That's just nonsense.

Moreover, studies have shown that longer content ranks significantly higher in Google. Search engines pay very close attention to
“short clicks” vs. “long clicks”, also known as dwell time, which simply measures how long a searcher stays on your page.
You can increase your average dwell time by writing long, engaging content that keeps people reading.

But how to keep visitors alive during reading and don't make them
sleep or ran away from your long long pieces of sh… information?

Use so called "bucket brigades”. A term often used by copyrighters. Bucket brigades – are words and phrases that keep people
stay on your page for a long time.
    For instance:

    • Here’s the deal
    • But there’s a catch
    • What’s the real story?
    • How can you actually use this?
    • The best part?
    • Why does this matter?
    • That’s not all…
Keep in mind the structure. It is always easier to read a well structured material. Most people scroll through an entire blog or
infographic to get the overall theme of the content. That's why use subheaders, but not just random ones. Try to make your
    subheads as benefit-driven as possible.

One of the winning methods to organize your material in a post is to use APP formula. APP stands for: Agree, Promise, and Preview.
Start your introduction with an idea or concept that a visitor of your site will Agree with. This shows them that you understand their problem.
The Promise is where you give them a peek into a better world. Suggest your solution to their problem. Finally, it’s time for The Preview.
Don’t beat around the bush. Just tell them exactly what the page is about.

The last but not the least, to top it all - would be a good idea to add LSI Keywords to your content.

Latent Semantic Indexing (LSI) keywords are synonyms and closely-related terms to your keywords .
When you include these in your content you help Google understand what your page is all about.
You can find LSI keywords at the bottom of the SERPs.

So, what is your attitude to the point?
What SEO Copywriting Secrets do you have and can share?
