How to pick a name (looking for sites, services that help)

How do you pick a catchy name for your domain (between 5-7 characters). Are there any sites/services/techniques you use?

 

I just open a spreadsheet and start typing ideas and run them through the bulk checker to see what is available. I can come up with hundreds of possibilities before I find one domain name that is available and suitable for me.

 

It depends on the brand you want to establish, I mean you should also consider the type of niche.

 

I missed the "5 - 7 characters" part. Unless he invents a word, there is no way he is going to find a short domain like that available as they are all taken.
