Some of them like FTP and NGINX cost 200$ and more and I already got them on the license.

I did try to sell a license itself without a domain before but couldn't so I decided to install a script on my hosting and sell it as a website.

So if you are talking about the face value of the product , yes it does cost around 1500$ and I paid this money to SibSoft. Now I am selling it for 1/3 of the original price because I shut down my host after running it for 3 years with this license.

after 3 years of successful run, how much you earned? what is the present traffic status?

 

I was referring to my previous project ( I used this script to run it) . At the moment this is a start up package and doesn't have any traffic.
It is not a problem for a file host to gain traffic all you have to do is - launch an affiliate program Pay Per Download/Pay Per Sale and advertise it on similar forums like Wjunction and the traffic will come. Integrated affiliate system is very flexible and you can set an amount you want to pay for a traffic from each country and even enable 100% download mod to count only full downloads.

For a new file host it is important to have a low minimum payout amount in order to gain trust and to show webmasters that you are paying.

Of course you don't have to have an affiliate program and you can try other methods like SEO etc but this is more complex and probably more expensive.

As for the earnings it depends from your approach , it can be nothing and it can be a lot of money just like in any other business.
If you have enough cash to buy ''Allowed Host" status on popular forums you can earn serious cash from premium sales. You can also make money with Ads.

Ideally you want to get 2 servers.
One server for the front end and another for your files. ( you can also add unlimited files servers if needed)
I use to have a standard dedicated servers from OVH for the front end ( aroud 40-50$ per month)
And for my file servers I used redstation.co.uk because they can offer unlimited bandwidth and great download/upload speed.
For my file server I use to have setup similar to this one -
Hexa Core: E5-2430v2 - 2.50Ghz 48GB RAM,4 x 6TB SATA 7,200 RPM 1 GBPS connection - the cost for 1 server like this is around 250-300$.

I would like to know your estimates on how much traffic per day and concurent downloads at high speed can hold as file server below (cost $355 at OVH)?

The file servers I use to get from RedStation. OVH is only for front end.
It is not easy to answer this question because it also depends on how you setup you web server and other tweaks during a machine setup.
When I used it I didn't have any problems like crashes, lags etc with around 700-800 people downloading at the same time.
