I have had no luck with Pinterest! I have over 500 followers over there and they don't visit my page, let alone visit my Amazon page! Also Pinterest is known to slash your follower count. I mean if by your calculation your followers have increased by 40+ overnight, they only show +2 gain on your actual page!
I Think Facebook Ads is a great way to drive traffic to Amazon. You have to target a passionate group from one of your FB Pages to keep your cost and CTR good.
Not just traffic, you need a real "TARGETED" traffic to make good conversion from Amazon. I prefer writing more and more value added contents in blogs/websites, writing product reviews, sales pages etc. instead of payed ads. Try to write contents with long tile keywords to get more targeted visitors who are specifically looking for those information, for example "where to buy cheap coffee mugs".
I am totally agree on your post. consistency, time and dedication is most important things for success. Thanks
Write about products on facebook public notes. You can't directly post amazon reviews on your status updates as amazon can't track the URL from there. Obviously you can market your blog on facebook. When people visits your blog they can buy through your affiliate link.
First of all I wanted to argued that if you want real traffic then create a donor account in different forums and create thread with the aspects of your site and try to do more comments. Then traffics will see your ads and they'll visit there. Thus you can get active traffics. You have to bear in mind that 1 active traffic in better than 10 inactive traffic. What about your site? and how much traffics are available now?
Where are you sending your traffic? Straight to an affiliate offer? Who I am speaking with I doubt it! Are you collecting a lead and need help on that or are you trying to sell something. In todays marketplace especially in the work at home space and being online pretty much with anything actually but its a drain to you when your simply direct linking today. Back in the old days you could get away with it but today there is just so much traffic. So traffic is not the problem! It's separating yourself from the competition and learning to optimize both your landing pages and your campaigns.
In terms of using Reddit are you talking about buying ads from them or are you posting articles that link back to the product you want to sell?
Agree with @The Leo There is no short cut. Slow and painful process but eventually get paid off. Here is my progress after playing around with Amazon affiliate program for a long time. - https://digitalreadymarketing.com/2015-amazon-affiliate-income-progress-report/
