New here, but this is the reason I have become a registered member. I have a blog site, that is political in nature, that is getting traffic but no clicks. The site is: MO8th.com I am not sure what I am doing wrong, that I can't even get $0.10 per month in ad revenue. I am wondering if affiliate is more the approach ... I think the site looks great. Lord knows I have put time into the dev. Or maybe I just don't know what I am doing ... Maybe someone could take a look and tell me either to give it up, or? Thank you in advance. Ozark Granny
You need to put your ads within the content of your posts and at the top before the title of your blog post, it looks to me like your ads are all right at the bottom which isn't going to convert into clicks very well if at all.
Can you point me to an example? I am just working with widgets, which makes it look much cleaner. Thank you!!!
OK, this one is easy. You fill above the fold with a massive logo. Your menus at the bottom update text below the fold, which no one even knows are there because they don't know to scroll down.
If you search for an Adsense plugin it'll insert the Adsense code in good areas. Don't forget to remove the code from your widgets though when you activate the plugin otherwise you'll have more than your ad code limit. As per pmf123 the ideal place for your Adsense ads are above the fold i.e the area visible when you first load the page
I removed the 'widgets' from the side bar and posted directly into the copy, above, in the middle and below. I did get one click today so maybe ... Are you meaning my header? I am not sure what 'the fold' is ... ? Can you suggest any good plugins, as there are many Adsense plugins. Thank you all for your suggestions!!!
Ah ... I will make my header smaller to compensate. But most of my traffic is not search engine, it is social media that takes them to an article. I guess it could be called niche market, as it is geo-centric.
