    Nothing issues about PR updation. Only an seo guys will know about the PR and all when comparing to a normal user he does not think about PR or ranking factors and all.
    So don't panick about PR not updating and all,

    Just think about the user. Give what the user wants and he will likes you and share and give you tons of traffic.
    So do for user not search engine. :cool:

    As for me, I know longer focus my attention on PR any more. I will rather create high quality content and then create a few authority links to them.

    you know funny thing is: my friends doing Youtube SEO (not google SEO) have been getting great results using High PR backlinks for their youtube videos.

    A lot of people won't stop.... they'll keep on using increasingly old and crusty data as if it were the be-all and end-all. Why this useless data is still publicly available remains a mystery.

    2015 is about to die and it's really impressive to see how people still believe that Google Pagerank exists, waste their time "improving" content towards "better ranking" and yet want to get the best deal selling "PR-ranked" sites, whether to advertise or websites themselves.

    Wake up! 2016 is around the corner and if SEO is dead and putrid since more than 2 years ago (yeah, and resurrected with a different approach) with more reason Google Pagerank, that passed around five years ago, http://www.tunkhannocktimes.com/quit-with-the-pagerank-is-dead/

    I believe what you say is 100% true.
    whatever you try, PR will not work.
    search engines are changing their tactics every day.
    I believe if you have good content, your site will be on the top of google search result page

    PR is still in use but there are now many factors coming in addition to it.

    Let guess this with an idea ok

    Website 'A' with 5 links to PR above 4 and Website 'B' with 100 links to say PR 1 or 0. Now suppose both are well optimized and are mobile friendly. Then who will rank higher? A or B?

    Simple ans is Website 'A'. Because it is well ranked to good websites with High PR. This proves the use of PR in the Ranking!

    I don't think that PR had dead!

    The importance of PR is still there while other are taking over it. PR is not only factor for ranking but one of them. You might go for content but everyone can create a good content. For example search for some news? How will google rank them based on the content? I think almost all new websites will have the good content that are optimized. Now you will tell me that All news have good PR! didn't they. Yeah they have but still other factors are there to determine it including the social counts etc.

    PR is important but not much. For new websites it is very much important!

    I think one should focus on the quality, authority, content engagement, and quality (+relevant) backlinks. many Webmasters get too much obsessed with PR and they get in trouble soon. Being honest pays well even in the web based virtual worlds !

    What a total load of excrement. Google has NOTHING to do with DA and NO search engine uses DA as a metric in their ranking algorithms. Where did you get such nonsense from or did you just make it up?

    DA and PA is only the metric by Moz who think it understand the algorithm of some search engines. In directly DA and PA have role in the search results, as improving this you are improving your seo hence your SERP in search results.

    That's true, but to say that "google is now supporting" something implies that endorse that measuring tool and provide information/tools/apis to make it better. I'd be very impressed if that was the case.

    I had a meeting with a guy a while back who tried to tell me that his employer's site had "partnered with Google". I was most impressed and it was possible but he lost all credibility when it turned out they were using Google search to index the site contents and let users search the site. He was genuinely perplexed at my reaction.

    You and I both don't know how Google Algorithm works So we both may be wrong or right.

    Putting some harsh comment is not got and yeah when you read full post you will get to know what I actually wrote.
    Moz figured out DA and PA based on thier ranking but if you try to improve them indirectly you are improving your ranking in Google.
