The keyword planner is only one step in keyword research.

How can it be used solely as an effective keyword research tool?

I am just curious, why would it be easier and faster?
I guess if I have to pay, then harder and slower is better... :)
Its not like I am making anything to cover the cost of keyword research.

I have not used planner in a long time, so why would google
provide a keyword planner if there are no stats....
If that is the case, then it would be the same as if I just
guess on what the keywords should be....

Because their keyword planner is designed to be used by Adwords users, not SEOs.

Sure, it gives you other keywords in your niche - but then what?

You still need to dig deeper to decide which of those keywords are diamonds, and which are coal.

Discovering new kewwords and lsi's is all great and dandy but why am I not seeing anyone chime in regarding competition analysis after you have done your foundation kw research & have identified your target niche / kw set...

I have been using Spyfu now for years and <3 it - you can use free or the paid version is x100 worth it. Find out exactly what your competitors are up to, and specifically target the huge SEO markups your comp is wasting or not benefiting from :p You can get VERY create with this kind of structure in action ;)

In my opinion, one of the best ways to start is by targeting really low-competition keywords. I'm talking about ones that might show up in the keyword planner as having only 10 or 20 visitors/month, or even 0.

That way you can start getting experience without the disappointing experience of trying to rank for keywords that you couldn't possibly succeed with and inevitably failing. And at the same time, you'll be building an intuition about what sorts of keywords are possible to rank for and the different factors that go into Google's ranking decisions.

On top of that, even a few visitors can be more profitable than you think if you're writing good and highly targeted copy for the people arriving at the page.

You can do it by suggested search with a help of Google, Bing or Blekko. Also you can use some tools, such as Google Adwords, SemRush or Amazon.
In addition, I would like to say that you should have more than enough keywords to use to optimize your business pages. And you will also have a good list of topics to publish as bolg posts, videos and infographics.

Three steps to find best keywords for your website:
    1. Google ADwords Keyword tool: only senter your website or competitors website url and find search volumes, CPC, competition, ...
    2. Google Trends: Compare search volume for keywords based on time range and country/location. Also find other similar keywords ...
    3. Google Search Console: Find keywords that bring you most impressions, most clicks, find your websiste's positions on those keywords, ...

Always decide where to optimize according to:
    • relevance
    • search volume
    • competition

Keyword research is one of the most important, valuable, and high return activities in the search marketing field. Ranking for the right keywords can make or break your website.

Step 1: Make a list of important, relevant topics based on your Niche.
u can use Niche Cloude Tool

Step 2: Fill in those topic buckets with keywords.
choose LTK and use LSI version.
U can use Google Keyword Plannner, Semruch, Ubersuggest.io and best way to use primium version if u can afford and also can from below pictures
