I had been using PayPal personal account for the last 5-6 years, and a few months ago, I got my firm registered as an LLP. Just wanted to create a PayPal account for the firm Is there any big difference in accepting freelance payments via Personal account and Business account? I already have a PAN for the company, is there any other special requirements in order to get started? I do not have a creditcard for the company. Can I still send payments since I have Business account? Any other wise advise appreciated Fem
Hey Fem! My responses are inline. Is there any big difference in accepting freelance payments via Personal account and Business account? - No I already have a PAN for the company, is there any other special requirements in order to get started? - No I do not have a credit card for the company. Can I still send payments since I have Business account? - You can the ask person on the other end to send you an invoice via Paypal. You can pay for this invoice using your Indian Credit card. P.S. If you're an Indian business/ freelancer, do check out Zilra.co (that we built) to send and receive payments from the US at 0% fee.
You are all set for creating a valid Business account with PayPal. However You can add a credit card later.
Those customers weren't familiar with Paypal too until few years ago. Zilra get there slowly but surely.
