Internal links. Links for the main page

    According to the different types of making internal linking, there are different cases to set up links for the main page. On various sites I saw links for the main page:
    1) On menu;
    2) In bread crumbs;
    3) In sidebar;
    4) After the main text.
    The result is that there could be about 2-4 links from one page to the main page. It`s not normal. So I`d like to know how you set up links for the main page? And how much per page considering that optimal variant is to set up 1 link 1 time per page. Thank you

    Internal links are links that go from one page on a domain to a diffrent page on the same domain. They are commonly used in main navigation.
    These type of links are useful for three reasons:
    - they allow users to navigate a website;
    - they help establish information hierarchy for the given website;
    - they help spread link juice around websites.
