Living in Alberta and Idaho skiing is readily available but true, because it is so expensive I am limited to how much I can go. I volunteered for a school to help take the kids out which gave me the opportunity to go for free once. I just can't give that amount of flow. Now I'm living in Oahu, HI and it is very cheap here to have fun. I just bring my body board and go to the beach and have a good time. Also snorkling, all I need is goggles and a beach and that's so close to home now. Perhaps a better post would be what's the cheapest/funnest sport.
To watch or to play? If the latter, I would say ocean racing. You need to be a millionaire many times over to compete for the Americas Cup.
I absolutely agree, of course you need a lot of money to have those impressive sailing yachts. It's just not the maintenance, but paying the team and all the rest. A lot of money indeed.
i have heard that the most expensive sport is golf, because a good gear so you can play well is too expensive, and the price for initiation in a golf club is too big
Horse racing. I mean, horses are seriously expensive. Tack costs around a thousand or two dollars. The most expensive horse that I know of is was sold for $16m.
We all know that Golf is the most expensive sport, but according to me, Tennis is more. I am not a tennis player or some professional in sports statistics, but if you like to play tennis, then you should by all that equipment, to pay your membership fee and to have you own trainer.
