I meditate silently and walk around in the park. it's been helping a lot with my stress with my product launch. what about you?
(1) I immerse myself in work. (2) I talk to a friend. (3) I hop on my mountain bike. I'll start off with #1, then if still stressed go down the line. If it fails and I'm still stressed I go back to #1 and start the process all over again.
awesome! i love that. i would love to bike but I can't because NY is too cold. there's nothing more relaxing than the outdoors
Thank god for mountain bikes. Unfortunately because the weather is how it is on this time of year I`m only left with hyperventilating and smoking
Food, especially chocolate come to mind...of course, I also want to eat good stuff when I am not stressed. I am pretty flexible, that way. Where in NY are you from? My wife is originally from Rome, NY. We are in RI, and it has been pretty warm lately. Certainly biking weather. So is it already serious winter in Romania? I have been quietly pleased (don't want to jinx it) by how warm it has been here in New England in the U.S. We could be buried in snow and freezing our butts off right now, but it has been relatively warm (i.e., very little freezing weather to date.) And, of course, to get back on topic, snow stresses me out. Getting it cleared out relieves that stress. Wish it weren't me doing the clearing out, however.
I will listen some music, or talk to friend with my problem, or walk to street alone. And they worked.
i usually call my best buddies and talk them for long time and have a outing with them if possible. Their presence may relief my stress
Most of the time stress doesn't bother me that much. A lot of good came out over the years when I was stressed out or under pressure. I know myself well enough to know that most of the time the stress I am experiencing is perceived, not real. Still, getting away and doing something totally unrelated to what caused the stress in the first place is what helped me to get through some tough times (Thank goodness I live just 30 min away from the ocean. Nothing relieves the stress faster than spending some time on the ocean shore.).
Meditation is the cure for every mental disease in this world! I am sure that in future we will not use the anti-depressive and switch on meditation. Most of the people in the world think that meditation is a wasting of time, but there are wrong. Reading, practicing or even watching spiritual things can change you level of perception for ever.
I used to just work it out, recently I purchased a home on a lake so I'm either fishing or outside enough that stress usually misses me!
Drink (coffee) and just do something else while listing to music. Also if the weather this nice I take a stroll outside.
You know, there is that constant rhythm of the waves rolling in that does offer a strong calming effect. The fresh sea air is great, too. I am about 45 minutes from the nearest beach (we are the "Ocean State" after all) but, right now, it would be a bit too cool (and wet today) to stay on a beach for long. It's 45F/7C degrees today.
Also, listening to music or riding a bike near to the river is one of the things that I prefer to practice when I feel stressed. I spent most of the time on my PC, because my job require internet connection. While I am working I prefer to listening music and drinking some tea or coffee. It really helps me to keep my focus and be positive at the same time. I think that practicing music in your daily life can really help you to stay motivated and relaxed at the same time. Riding a bike is my other option that prefer to doing in the the summer. Riding and listening a music at the same time can really help me to release my stress...
