And what exactly don't you like about Paypal? What 'stinks' to you? The fact they are not available in particular parts of the world?

Or maybe their terms of service is written to protect them so they can stay in business and make money (I thought that was what most businesses did - make money).

Paypal has millions of users. At some point - some people are going to be unhappy. At some point, some people will have problems. And people love to complain. It's human nature.

For the most part - Paypal has helped thousands of individuals start their business. That could be a good thing for some people

Paypal fails because the company behind it cannot comprehend the reality of today's online environment, nor can they adapt to it. Moneybookers on the other hand appears as light, strong and fuss free or in other words a payment processor brought to basics, but with enough security to make it reliable. It's the "keep it simple stupid" strategy that actually works.

    no I`m not
of course they do,they have been around for as long as I can remember doing e-comerce.
read my post completly,I have too many reasons to post them here.
yeah that stinks too, what is the problem?in those certain parts of the world exist credit cards, there are supermarket, their credit cards are procesed all over the world but no..Paypal refuses,it`s like they are 3 year old children with no sense in their decisions. The countries they are not accepted are not in some hole in the ground where people starve to death and never heard of e-payment.
their TOS is written way in their advantage,a system made to protect their business and the users business is like moneybookers .Do try and search google and see what diferent people that have been abused by paypal have to say.
Yes that`s true, because there was no other way,LOL,just let paypal burn in hell please:)

First of all, paypal didn't fail

Second, your "reality of today's online environment" is view of a webmaster who buy or sell virtual good via internet. Most paypal user are buying / selling physical good. Their fee might be high, but it is better the processing credit card payment.

Third, why they have to serve every single country in the world? If paypal can earn more money concentrate in US market, for what reason they want to spend money to expand their business to other country?

At last..if you don't like it, don't use it. What's the point of bitching?

The point is to encourage people to start using moneybookers because the reality is they are way better.this is my only desire, for newbies out there that don't know what form of e-payment to chose to end up getting moneybookers.
Paypal as a brand didn`t fail, but it failed a lot of people for sure, and if moneybookers was around as long as paypal was this name 'paypal' would be just a forgotten word of the past.

Agreed. Paypal didn't fail. Just because people don't carefully read the TOS when they sign up to paypal does not mean that they are justified to break them. Hence the phrase TERMS of Service.

I understand that there are lots of websites about hating paypal. But this is most definately not even a valid reason to believe that paypal is bad. That's about as valid as saying slavery is right because there are hundreds of pro-slavery websites. Just because hundreds of people don't have the knowledge to use paypal properly doesn't mean it's a bad system.

    Just my 2 cents.

As we speak there are more than 2 million users worth of more than 2 billion euros in transactions going on at Moneybookers. Now please don't tell me that Paypal likes to lose this sort of business. As for the point of Moneybookers vs. Paypal controversy the purpose is indeed to educate people about the advantages and disadvantages of both. And right now Moneybookers seems to me like the clear winner.

I 've been using PayPAl for about 4 years and have never had a serious problem. On the 2 occasions I phoned support they were very helpful and professional and solved my issues within minutes. My clients don't need to sign up to pay me and I can withdraw money immediately with the ABM card.

Paypal has not failed me. If Moneybookers ever become as popular as Paypal, it will have problems of its own.
I'm not favoring either of them, but that's the reality.

I somehow doubt that Moneybookers will have the same problems as Paypal. You seem to forget the basic differences about the two:

-Moneybookers has a clear and transparent fee policy (not to mention lower fees) than Paypal
-Moneybookers automatically converts the currency into the one you are using (at a better rate than most banks here)
-Moneybookers does not allow chargebacks which are one of the main inconveniences encountered in Paypal (it created more problems and scams than it solved) nor does it freeze accounts.
-Moneybookers is already popular (2 million users is anything but a low figure) and hasn't encountered the problems that Paypal has

Why would moneybookers be any less susceptible to fraud than PayPal? As more people use moneybookers you will get more complaints & more fraud.

    because they are retarded:)
    oh yeah !;)
I`m not a moneybookers pro but as far as I know you can recieve money into your moneybookers account without having any credit card verification.but if you want to charge your moneybookers account using your credit card you must verify 1 of the 2 :
    - billing address(they send you a letter with a code, which I must say,I recieved in 4 business days and I heard this letter is NEVER late)
    - they withdraw a random sum of money, from 1$-3$ and you must go to the bank and find out the exact number they have withdrow.
From my experience it`s imposible to have a bad experience with moneybookers if you registered with accurate data, keep that in mind.
and for all you business men out there that just make paypal rich,go to moneybookers.
We shall see about that,I sincerely doubt it.read moneybookers TOS and then paypal`s TOS.Anyway it`s clear to me you have never tryed moneybookers services
