Very Low Adsense CPC for my Wordpress Site (Image Ads)

    Hi Digitalpoint users.

    I have a Wordpress site which receives between 10.000-20.000 views every month. However, the CPC is very low even I'm using high paying keywords. I have enabled text & displayed ads but the cpc for image ads is 0.02 while for text ads is between 0.15-0.20.
    The text ads aren't much clickable, the CTR is 1% while for image ads is 3-4%. But, the last month the cpc for images ads was 0.17 so I want to know why this month the cpc of image ads is very low and how can I improve it.

    CPC is based on what advertisers are prepared to pay
    ...obviously not.

    CPC depends on allot of factors but mainly on the ad shown and the person clicking the ad. If its a low paying advertiser and a person from China clicking the ad as an example then the CPC will be low. If its a credt card or finance type ad and someone from the US clicks it it could be as high as £6 a click.

    So many factors here to determine the CPC.

    I'd say start seeing if you can create content that caters towards developed-country audiences..
