How do you guys feel about this?

I live in Maryland. And two students in the Wicomico county region were forced to pee in a bottle, because the teacher wouldn't escort them to the bathroom. The teacher currently is just suspended from teaching, do you think he should be fired? I do.

 

Fired, yes of course and should also never be allowed to work with kids ever again.

If there was anything more severe that could happen to this dimwit, it should just to make an example out of him or her.

sounds like a mental case.. did they have to do it in front of the class to?

 

Were they actually forced to do it? Or did they just do it as a stand knowing that the teacher would have got in trouble if they did that? Also if they really needed to go, why didn't they just walk out of the class and go?

The correct practice of the teacher would be to escort them, but maybe there was a reason the teacher decided against this i.e. The two kids were trouble makers and went every lesson just to have some time out of class, or maybe there were students in the class that the teacher decided couldn't be trusted if left on their own whilst the teacher escorted them.

I don't think the children should have had to resort to this, but is this case totally black and white? Most things in life aren't.

Before I get abused, I am not taking the teachers side nor the pupils, I'm just exploring the arguement

Well from what I saw on television(and to the post above, no I do not have a link to this news.) they pretty much had no other choice but to do it infront of everyone. This guy is a complete idiot and should be sent to prison.

 

Yes! Denying someone basic human rights should be grounds enough for firing.

 

The kids were middle-schoolers. All kids during testing are required to be escorted by a teacher or faculty member.

 

I do agree that legal actions against the teacher could be taken, and possibly should.

 

What were the students' age? This is really funny , lol.

 

If he's in a union he'll get a slap on the wrist.

But seriously...the guy should be told to leave immediately, and should possibly face legal issues.
