Unfortunately, due to poor traffic quality, we will be terminating your Yahoo! Publisher Network account ID ********* within 24 hours. It's been fun Yahoo. Over a year and a half with the program and I get the boot. At one point I was doing 2000 clicks a day and they had no problem with it. All of a sudden my traffic isn't good enough for them. It's all good though I prepare for stuff like this to happen.
Sorry to hear that.. and It's good that you are prepare It's Always Good to keep the back up in this kind of network income
Yeah I Yahoo was a gold mine...lately is has been dropping though. This is my job though I have to prepare for stuff like this.
That's pretty ridiculous. Why terminate your account for low converting traffic? It's not your fault. If anything, ban the URL. Really horrible way to handle it, in my opinion...
I know that's what I told them. I can't controll the fact that my users suck at buying stuff. I didn't see that feature on Overture when I advertise there. No where did it say "Check this box if you want to terminate everyones account whos users don't buy anything". I would for sure have checked it . With advertising you just know hey some users may convert but some wont. In the back of your mind though you have to know there is a chance none of them will convert. I don't getit but Yahoo didn't get where they're at today by not knowing what they are doing.
Oh, great. I expect the same to happen to me eventually. Unfortunately, their ad serving isn't what it should be thus I have swapped YPN for AdSense nearly across the board. I hope that they send to you the balance in your account even if it is only 91 cents!
Did you call? If I ever get that email, first thing I'm going to do is call them and discuss it. I want to hear the flawed logic behind the decision to terminate the whole account.
I like you avatar, that movie was shot in my hometown. YPN's ad targeting is just like what they say about alexa "it's inaccurate best". I have over 15k in my account right now and they said they will remove all the non converting clicks and non us clicks first and if my ballance is over 100$ they will send me the money.
Ditto. Kicked out this morning as well. Ive only been in for a month and a half though. Made some pocket change, but man... I was thinking I would be able to stay in for awhile, I targetted the most relevant ads (books, movies, media) and had around 15k uniques a day. Is a month and a half even long enough to determine if the ads are going to convert. Oh well, back to google.
I'm sorry to hear that as well. They seem to be targeting the larger sites with 15k+ uniques. Atleast that is the case with our two sites.
Great. Looking forward to hearing how it turns out. Please, ask them why they didn't even warn you? It makes me afraid to even put up YPN on my larger sites.
