About HOSTGATOR affiliates

I am currently affiliate for hostgator (just joined). What do you advise me: CJ or their own affiliate program?

 

Definately CJ becuase if someone sigup for 2 months via cj for hostgator you will earn 100$ whereas if you go directly then your user must signup for 12 months if you want 100$ otherwise if user signups for 3 months then only 25$

Are you sure? I am an affiliate and never heard those 3 months, 12 months, 100$, 25$ things....There is 50$ for any kind of verified signup
Where did you get those 25$ and 100$ quotes?

Sorry about 25$ per 3 month..Although i meant if user signups for 1-5 month you gets 50$ but if user signup for even 2 months via cj you get full 100$

lol this is not for how long the user signup, but how many users you reffer. If you reffer 1-5 users per month you get 50$ for each user, if you refer 6-10 people per month you get 75$ for each and so on...

how do you promote hosting? adwords and similar seem to charge a lot for hosting keywords

 

I placed banners on my directories and all other sites..and total 5 sales 4 sales using msn.My friends who wanted hosting signed up using my referal link ..

Actually it's not that easy to get the visitors to sign up with your referral link,that's why the commissions are so high.

I just leave a little link at the bottom of my own websites that says 'hosted by hostgator' that links to my hostgator affi URL (It'll be linkin' to my CJ affi URL after I get done posting this though.. thanx guys!

I don't heavily promote hosting, but I get a lil surprise in the mail every month or two out of the deal..

If I were going to promote hosting, I'd likely do it simularly to gambling, being that they are both super competitive, starting with a review of each program (500 words +) and adding more and more content from there.
