You need to download a video editor which will allow you to that. (http://www.avs4you.com/AVS-Video-Editor.aspx There are maybe free versions of this or similar editors out there, just Google it.)

It can also be done with css / absolute positioning. If your video will always be in the same place on a page, you can do something like this:

Obviously you will need to adjust the numbers to your own.

 

If you are aiming to make 'meme' type of videos then your going to need a video editor that allows flexible control.

You literally will need two shape layers to make the black bars, then two text layers for the text.

There's plenty of free video editing software / pirated software out there. Take a look at what works best and then hit up Youtube for a quick tutorial.

I tried to do it with PowerDirector and couldn't understand how to do it. It's really frustrating. Can someone help ?
