I was checking through some articles i posted on isnare distribution, i searched for the article title on Google to find some shabby looking article directories not using any 'About the author' boxes and no backlinks to my website which is sort of annoying... Has anyone else come across this? and what did you do? I'm tempted to e-mail the owners to say take down my articles....
yeah, this is why avoid any kind of auto or semi-auto submission sites and/or programs. i take my hour and submit it myself and get what i need done.
I have also experienced this, but I tend to ignore it, since it will take to much time and I rather focus on the once I get the link from... The value of the link on these "shabby looking article directories" is very little and they don’t get a lot of visitors. Focus on the big guns where other webmasters search for articles.
maybe your submissions is free, coz sometimes they request for recip link or what they call featured article and it cost...
iSnare apparently has lot of issues. Although it has the largest database of directories - a good chunk of it goes to shabby sites. I know if you paid for the service then you want your stuff to get fully exposed but that is what you get with iSnare. If you wait for another round of PR update you will come to find out which directories are really genuine, growing and famous. You can pick those selected few with PR 3 and up and submit your articles to them manually. Otherwise the greed of saving time from the mundane task of article submission will give you results as you found out - 'No author resource box'
When I use articles from isnare or another service, I always send the author a request to check out the article to make sure everything is correct. I had one author e-mail me a nasty letter saying I was a jerk for removing his backlinks (I didn't do that it was on isnare that way). I e-mailed him back saying that I don't usually contact authors to review their article if I was going to just steal their article anyway. He was really embarrassed and appolgized and said it was because he keeps finding websites that steal his work. I do get lots of e-mails from authors saying that I'm in the minority (their words not mine) when it comes to informing them of article use and keeping the integrity of their articles in place. I think it pays off to keep the links and to inform the author.
yeah, i agree...it'll get a lot of your time but it'll pays off..rather than used auto submission and then eventually you'll find out that it the site didn't received it or it just like what you have encountered...no resource box...
