I can take a couple of weeks off only at 10 year intervals. I already reserved them for my 20-30 years old period.

w3bmaster, you are free to leave the country if you don't resist here anymore :) i totally agree that there are a lot of bad things in this country, but I still wouldn't go to another country. here are all my friends, my wife, my favourite town, Timisoara - which is really great, so I wouldn't move in another country... everybody is free to choose.

    There's your problem.

Not only were you born in Romania, but you were born in urban Romania (last I've checked Buzau is a city). Thus, you're better off from the start than more than 50% of Romanians and more than 60-70% of the global population. So stop whining so much, would you? Thanks.

First is : illegal stuff not ilegal stuff
    countries not countrys

Now... Please tell me, why do you think it's more hard to do legal business in Romania then in any others free country?! Isn't this an Democrat Country as well, don't you got the right to open a LTD (called here SRL?!)... and please believe me is easier then in USA , Canada or AU ... If i am not wrong you must have at less 10k to invest in AU to be able to open a LTD?! In Romania you can have a LTD with less then 200$.... Anyway I don't see any business that can't run in this country ...

Heh I've just seen this thread and found it a bit funny. I am a Romanian too, and I lived in London, UK for about 18 months until 2004. It was a cool thing to think about but once I got there it wasnt so sweet anymore. I had the courage to go there without promisses of a job and had to work illegaly mostly as a PC literrate but not only. However as my visa was expiring I decided to come back home. It wasnt a bad decision, started over with a low wage and worked my way to be a self-employed now. It's not easy life, but it will get better if I work harder. Romania's average wage is now close to double Cristian mentioned in his original posts and anyone who wants to work can do well. As far as I'm concerned, the future has only good things to bring over here.

In February I'm going on a trip to Budapest with my girlfriend. Using our ID cards only! No passports, no visa check, I love the EU :)

    Mihai

PS And the Stonehenge... Oh man it looked good on TV in Romania, but it really is only a pile of rocks.. What a disappointment :)

ROFL for Stonehenge. Where in London did you stay?

I'm glad you lot join the EU - it'll make it easier to come over and show MezeiTM how to open a bottle of wine (and to kick his ass).

I live 10 minutes from Thorpe Park - went on that new ride this summer, it blew my socks off almost literally. I've been to the Science Museum probably a dozen times over the last 5 years, I agree it rocks. Harrods this time of year is nice too. It's time for a DP meet again here, maybe all of you can come down.
