Like the great Zig Ziglar said, "People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing, that's why we recommend it daily." If you're feeling down and need a pick me up - come browse this thread! I hope the community will post enough motivational stories, images, videos, etc to keep everyone from giving up! I would like to start this thread out with Arnold Schwarzenegger's motivational speech about his 6 rules to success. Below I will include the poster for a cliff notes version!
Credibility. If you're out there to take advantage of people you'll always need more and more motivation since your guilty conscience will be working against your efforts. On the contrary, if you provide an honest service that will benefit those you are trying to help your motivation level will pretty much always stay up (not that you won't need an occasional extra cup of coffee to keep you going, but that's different).
A favorite quote of mine is: "A Successful Entrepreneur is Someone... Who is Stubborn Enough... To Stick Around Long Enough... To Get Lucky!" Not sure who originally offered that, but I heard it during a sales pitch many years ago.
Excellent topic, as far as motivational speeches goes, this one is surely the best! And yes, I just watched it again. and here's a motivational quote:
I can't tell you how many times I have watched that Steve Jobs speech... too many to count for sure. I love his story about dropping out of Reed college and sitting in on the calligraphy classes. He couldn't connect the dots looking forward, only backwards. You just have to trust that all of the stars will align... Getting goosebumps just typing that, because it's SO true
Ya, Awesome video of Steve Jobs. And I got goosebumps by just reading your post. If there is inner desire to do something, the person will surely succeed.
The third rule of success, by Arnold Schwarzenegger, did inspire me. I have been afraid to fail. I have often wanted to do things right, but I ended up failing. Today, I have learned that the most successful people of all time don't give up, and they aren't perfect either. Below is a motivation speech video by Jim Carrey that inspires me, I hope this helps someone to stay motivated. Thank you.
