Drowning Pool sucks..that the only ok song from them.... btw that song's name is bodies..not Let The Bodys Hit the Floor
They call themselves christian, they are a bunch of lunatics. Followers of Christ would never act this way, they look possessed to me but the pastor is all for the money. I agree with ahkip, that this is the only good song from Drowning Pool and it's called Let The Bodies Hit The Floor.
This is the kind of craziness that gives the vast majority of decent, well-behaved Christians a bad name. I just retired from 31 years of Christian ministry, and I spoke out against this at every opportunity. It makes a mockery of holy things. As a point of interest, this is not new. The leader of the great 1904-05 Welsh Revival wrote that manifestations much like this essentially killed that great revival in Wales. For any who might be interested in a biblical position against this wildness, I have a commentary on it at: http://www.jimfeeney.org/fallingoutslaininSpirit.html
Have you come here for forgiveness Have you come to raise the dead Have you come here to play Jesus To the lepers in your head U2 - "One" Sums it up nicely. I wasn't aware the Welsh revival got hammered by this stuff. "Where's the focus?" is my question - God, or smoke and mirrors?
Indeed there are, and I attempt to address those, too. But this mockery of holy things should not be ignored.
Yes, I was surprised at that, too. I read it in a book co-written around 1912 by the revival's leader, Evan Roberts, and Mrs. Jesse Penn-Lewis. Sorry, I can't recall the title of the book (something with the expression "...the saints..." in it). They said that startlingly similar manifestations occurred in the Welsh Revival and contributed to its demise in a relatively short 18 months.
There are certain things that are not normal in the Word of God.It is not because of this that it is mockery.
I do not think that it is because of manifestations that revival died but because of the lack of maturity of certain Christian like it was at Ephesus.
not sure if I agree with you on the 1st statement but perhaps I do not understand you. friendly FYI, be sure to utilize the multi-quote button at the bottom of posts so that you can reply to more than one thread at a time...
Oops did not know about that..I'm still trying to understand the use of this forum... What I was saying is that there certain paradox in the bible such as give and you will receive and if you lose your life you will gain eternal life...If it is not normal to certain people it does not mean that it is not true... Hope that you understand what I am trying to say
NP, it took me a while to get a feel for the forum too....it's my 1st I see, I got you now! Tks for clarifying - I agree with you
There are, admittedly, numerous reasons for spiritual decline. But the interesting thing about the Welsh Revival of 1904-05 is that its main leader, Evan Roberts, specifically mentioned very similar manifestations as directly contributing to the decline of the Welsh Revival. I read the book with great interest many years ago. As noted above, revival leader Evan Roberts and his mentor, Mrs. Jesse Penn-Lewis, co-authored their book on the Revival about 7 or 8 years after its end. The book was written about 1912, and its title is (vague memory here) something like "War Against the Saints". For what it's worth, the two co-authors attributed some of (not necessarily all) the distracting manifestations to demonic infiltration of the Revival.

Jeez talk about taking the video to literally. Way to ruin the thread. It went from a video of just something funny to a bible study class.
