I am looking to impliment a 'livechat' feature onto my company website for support and marketing purpouses. Does anyone know of any cheap livechat services? Scripts? Anything?
Hi, I found an open source script here http://www.craftysyntax.com/ Site looks a bit spammy but I think that's just bad design I hope my reply helped you .. Kind regards
thanks for the link. I am probably going to go with something that is not free. We are looking for it to be a company, with tech support and a monthly fee. Just looking for the right one at the best price. So far i have been in touch with www.liveperson.com & www.boldchat.com . Boldchat seems great, but its expensive.
I have a script which does this. I havent got a demo. I have resale rights for that script & can sell it to you for $12. No monthly charges. Let me know. If you dont like it after using it just let me know & I will refund you the money
I would need to try it first. Its for my company, not for me. They wont buy anything without seeing a demo. If i try it, and they like it, i will pay. Thats the only way they will let me do it.
No problem. Its being started by the guy that started monstercommerce.com (I think that was the site) and has received some quality financial backing. Good luck.
Paid OffSite: Live Chat - the best in the business. If you can afford it, do so. Bold Chat Free OffSite: ZaZaChat - tried it, works well. Free OnSite Scripts: Crafty Syntax - a bit clumsy Help Center Live (My favorite). Where I work we use LiveChat, because we have a budget for that. For personal projects, where my budget is less, I use either ZaZa or HCL. Ari

yeah, we tested it yesterday.. minus a few bugs (which they are going to fix for free), its a damn amazing program!
I will be needing support software, and will test some of these. Has anyone got anything to say of http://www.liveperson.com? Its feature list looks fine.
If you are looking for a community live chat room, this is a good one: http://www.gixaw.com/. I've been using it for support and its been turning out pretty good
We have a live chat software directory (LivechatDir), so that should give you guys a lot of options. Our 2007 pick is Liveperson (read complete review) and we recommend it to any serious business who wants a bug free, scalable and hosted solution with 24/7 support. There are some other good solutions out there which made it to our "Popular List" on Livechatdir.com. Open source solutions such as www.craftysyntax.com and www.helpcenterlive.com do get the job done, but then they are not bug free and not suggested if you are serious about live customer support. We have researched and tested hundreds of live chat software over last 3 years, only to find out that you get what you pay for. Don't expect a free or a $20 software vendor to offer you support 24/7. Just a few vendors including LivePerson are a true value for money if you are looking for live chat. Again, if you find another good piece of live chat software, do suggest us for our directory, but I think our current 2007 research should help.
