    I have a $x,xxx budget, and I am getting ready to start up a new
    online venture. I think I have covered most of the social media
    sites with my chosen name. Please let me know if I am misssing any.
    I know social media can play an important role, so I do not want
    to miss a critical social media site if I can help it.

    So far, I have:

    Facebook
    Twitter
    Google+
    YouTube
    LinkIn
    InstaGram
    Pininterest
    Blogspot

    I have not even begun setting up covers, profiles, etc, and that is not the important
    factor at the moment. I just want to make sure I have my chosen name....

    Are you referring to plugins or profiles?

    Regardless, I see you've missed Reddit and Tumblr. Aside from which, register your business on Google Local, as well as websites like Yelp :)

    The 'core' we use for our branding are Twitter and Facebook, but I know many find Tumblr, Instagram and Reddit useful, depending on your business of course.

    No, I guess you've mentioned all the ones that are the most efficient at the time. The question is will you be able to handle all of them so that you would still look active and people would actually engage?

    I agree that it is a goldmine, but why would you register your business name on reddit? Everything I do is totally incognito with generic account names and I NEVER let anyone know I am posting my own stuff. Redditors hate that. Thoughts?

    Also, please elaborate on what you mean in your statement. Thanks.

    I wouldn't!

    I purchase burner accounts on Fiverr that already have link karma attached to them.

    Then I post a few links and throw it away.

    This method alone has generated thousands of dollars in income for me and I still use it for almost every start up I create.
