Hello Everyone. I was a casual domainer about 10 years back, then I took a break from it for my studies. But now, I am thinking of this a bit more seriously as a business venture. I live in India and currently use PayPal for transacting. After looking closely, I realised that I am paying close to 8-10% as Fee for my sale transactions. This includes 4.4% PayPal fee and another 4-5% Currency conversation fee. 10% is a huge cost for any business if we have to deal in high volume. Please suggest me how to go about it, are there any other better payment processor? And are those accepted by buyers ?
I find Skrill(MoneyBookers) good but again Paypal is accepted worldwide so it is an easier option. The fee is the downside though.
Stripe is a good new alternative, I got the first $1k in processing without fees because of a student account with Github, which was pretty cool
Stripe, Skrill and 2co are great alternatives to PayPal be careful with all the other new companies on the market.
You can try the following: Stripe Skrill 2Checkout Payoneer Alertpay Google Wallet or check this list for more options - http://www.staff.com/blog/comparison-of-credit-card-processing-companies/
I found on Search engine journal a list of alternatives. Google Wallet is one of them, Skrill and Braintree are on there, too. Here's the URL of the site: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/top-12-alternatives-paypal/
If you are Indian then use PayUMoney or Webmoney. PayUMoney or PayU charge about 2% or so.. As for Webmoney 0% infact if you want to sell WMZ then you can contact me too
* AlertPay: Ranks 6,948, which is up nearly double from February 2008. Our top choice for the most viable alternative to eBay -- a secure and fast way to pay online. * Moneybookers: Ranks 4,739. With high ranking and 2,050+ organizations linking to it, so moneybookers.com must be popular!
AlertPay went out of business years ago. Payza took them over. Anyone who had funds in AlertPay lost them like us.
